*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

What's the top 3 things people want fixing/adding?

Mines the police AI/spawning.
Traffic AI and car chases.
Vertically to the city.

The more I play the less I care about the NPC AI, in terms of lack of dialogue, mouths don't move, similar outfits etc.

This plus water effects and for my character to have reflections in the world...

I only realised yesterday that my character has no reflections on any surface, mirrors, metals, water, puddles, anything...this is a basic feature that needs to be added. Especially for a game that was advertised for it's ray traced reflections lol.

The other reflections in the game are amazing. But for some reason they forgot about your character?

And shooting water or jumping in water doesn't seem to have any effect. No splashing or anything. The water in the game seems very basic. Also they need to add better water to the roads when it's raining. It seems baked into the textures but doesn't look real to me, they should improve the water on surfaces.

And yeah I agree with you, they need to fix the police so it's like Mafia/GTA with road blocks, chases etc. Plus Police should take some time to get to you...not just spawn on top of you.

And they need to fix NPC and enemy AI too.

Funny you should mention this. I showed my girlfriend Cyberpunk the other day, the first thing she said when I ran over a puddle was "That's ****, there's no reflection of you in the puddle"
She's (and you're) right, its a pretty basic thing to add a relection in a puddle / water / mirror if just about everything else casts reflections in the game!

I'm sure mirrors at first seems to work fine and reflect. Now you have to select to look in them instead of just looking when walking around.
Was that another feature they removed because it didnt work properly on consoles or dropped a few fps for people with crud GPUs?

is it a game which feels like its more about the graphics and scenery than the gameplay ?

I cant currently turn settings up so it looks a bit rubbish for me as well ! insult to injury!

It looks pretty, the city is well designed and it has some great story elements, but it also has some huge omissions - one being the absence of any AI anywhere to be seen. Lots of style, very little substance.

I mean something as simple as mirrors and reflections are done so right in TLOU2 that it boggles the mind on how an old gen console can deliver those graphics features but not this game on the exact same consoles let alone PC.

After watching this:

And seeing some of the answers especially in relation to NPC and AI behaviour/mechanics, they say they definitely cover this aspect in their scope of change so it will be interesting to see how they revise AI/NPCs in the game after the next round of patches. I will be completing the Nomad life path as I am over 50 hours in anyway but not starting the other 2 until the next patches are released, so after Feb by the looks of it.

As before, enjoying it but certain things need to be changed and sorted out like AI and NPC as they are just bad. The usability of the inventory system needs changing too as it's not intuitive and it contains many bugs too, as do interactions with drop stations after completing aside mission to find and deliver items via using the drop stations around the city. In one instance yesterday the OSD said to press F to drop in the merchandise I'd recovered but pressing F took me straight to the trade screen of the drop station and not drop off the merch.... After much time spent trying to figure it out I held down F which dropped the merch in and the side emission was completed.

It's stuff like that which is just annoying after an otherwise really enjoyable time spent in that mission.

I will have loads of time to kill though doing side missions still in Nomad well into Feb/March I reckon.

by using the small scope on a gun and zooming in a little to NPCs across the road you can literally see their routine repeat.
which is to just walk X steps turn walk back X steps turn and repeat. when they disappear they only visibly disappear their location is still tracked by the game in their routine so they will pop in and out.

I posted this to show the 2D car model that pops in but you can see some of the NPC routines on the left.

So choosing the right options in act 1 had a nice payoff with that corpo Meredith Stout

Only shame was the awkwardness of the Mrs walking in for a chat right at the same time that I entered the motel room. She was rather alarmed by how full on it was :D

go outside the city and watch the highway from a distance lol, you won't need binocs

no splashing or anything when you drive over a wet area in a car either

Sony have just removed Cyberpunk from the PS Store and will be offering refunds to everyone. Not sure how that'll impact PC improvements but they'll surely want to improve the PS version in the hope of getting some money from PlayStation users.

I'm not sure it ever has happened. I assume the amount of refunds Sony are processing and the fact CDPR said refunds would be available to anyone who requested one. If Microsoft follow suit, it could be bad news for the longevity of CDPR.

How do you mean lack of ai sorry? surely the enemies etc are ai?
they attack and shoot you, throw grenades, might hack you etc

the odd ones are having a conversation but all the civilians basically do nothing at all they don't emulate a living city.
the different gangs don't really mean anything either.

COPs literally spawn around you theres no ai to them apart from they try to follow you and attack

like skyrim people atleast seem to have some kind of ai running in the background.

the way they hyped up the game like you could bribe the cops etc
almost made it sound like the gangs fight each other and you can end up on their good side like there was some kind of rep system or something.

they said like 1000 npc had daily routines and lives.

Games good though imo, the bugs arent any worse than you'd expect in an bethseda game

They appear to have not included or removed a lot of content but I'm already 70 hours in and can't really get my head around how much time I would end up spending on the game if they included everything that was promised/people want.

It's not a driving game yet people appear to want to be able to buy any car they want, have their own garages, customise their cars, follow road traffic rules, have police that enforce those rules, have realistic damage, be able to have races and the list goes on. That alone sounds like a mixture of GTA/Gran Turismo/Need For Speed/Forza which would be an absolutely monstrous part of the game for what's essentially a way to travel between missions. The same could be said about NPCs, it basically sounds like people want a mixture of Zoom/Google Search/The Sims with self aware AI :o

I've gone with this build and having so much fun with it...its genuinely more fun than the gun play and makes you feel like a bit of a God ha

Pretty much what I played for my run through the game. Came to the build myself though.
Lacking legendary Ping there. Lets you hack through walls as long as you've pinged the target. Makes things a lot easier

Kinda nailed it there. Every other person wants the game to be something in particular. Like damn, I couldn't give two hoots about cars or races or playing dress up but for some people that's all they want.
Like I saw someone complaining they can't sit down and eat a burger in the game. Is that really fun for some people, sitting and making their character eat a burger for no reason other than "haha he eat butger"?

For me they never drop weapons if you kill them in Stealth i.e. before they can pull out their weapons. The only way I can get weapons is to "go loud" alerting everyone so that they pull out weapons. Obviously if they already have a weapon out (doing guard, sniper cover etc) then you'll get that weapon even if you steath kill, but someone who doesn't have a weapon out doesn't drop one for me.

Er that's almost certainly a bug or you're missing something. I've played 100% stealth so far and when you grab an enemy they immediately drop whatever gun they have on the ground, if you throw the body into a container to hide it, it leaves a little bag at the base of the container with whatever other loot they would have had on them. The actual weapons they carry just immediately drop to the ground in the location you grabbed them, so if you've moved them away to stay their body you have to revisit where you grabbed them to pick up their gun.

Some terrible terrible managrment decisions from CDPR, I cannot imagine how the dev team are feeling from this. They need to turn this round quick, could make or break them.

(In ref to game being removed from PS store)
