*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Some really good optimisation since i last played CP2077, i'm now averaging around 80-90fps using the same settings as i did before on my 3090 at 1440p UW.

It's just path tracing will bring my gpu to its knees lol

According to the developer's patch notes the 3090 can run the pathtracing at only 1080p 30 fps. Sounds like it's really designed for 4080, but moreso a 4090. Can't bring myself to upgrade my 3090 FE to a 4090 for this game alone.

That's clearly without DLSS, as I'm getting 40fps with Path tracing on a 3080 in 1440p ultrawide with DLSS cranked up to performance!

started playing CP again but can't tell any difference with path tracing enabled
Take screens of no RTX, normal RTX and Path Traced RTX in the same location - they'll all look hugely different. But when actually in motion, not specifically looking for it, it's hard to spot the difference. Right now I think standard RTX is the one to go for, on my machine anyway, as I get the more natural lighting but get a smooth enough framerate with a balanced DLSS setting. The main place I noticed the benefits of Path Tracing were detailed shadows and reflections around smaller objects.

What's the hit on fps with DLSS set to balanced or quality ?
