I gave up watching it but it looks like the 1.5 patch is now live which includes the nextgen updates. Now to decide whether to go for SX or PS5. I may wait for DF review update.

The Ray Tracing mode is awful to play it feels really sluggish it’s 30fps so doubt that helps. It hitches and stutters on performance mode too.

Just tried out a bit of the PS5 trial, seems to run well and looks decent in Performance mode, no noticeable issues although I haven't got to any particularly demanding sections yet.

It’s still buggy as hell. Mission I started has everyone talking all over the place with the options selectable still in cutscene. Police still just appear from nowhere.

I’ve had the game sitting on a shelf for about a year now waiting for it to be fixed, hopefully this patch is the one although happy to wait a bit more as got Elden ring to play next week anyway.

I must admit I’m not that impressed with the next gen patch, hdr highlights are massively improved though, but everything else is still shoddy looking, like distant scenery looks really basic looking, but I guess that’s in the core of the game and nothing can improve that.

Only tried performance, will try quality mode tomorrow.

Do you lot disable all the motion blur, film grain, chromatic abberation and so on?

Most of those features seemed to have been slapped on to tick boxes rather than take time to work them into the game to enhance the graphics - they are generally best just disabled.

I disable all of that nonsense in every game. It adds nothing IMO.

Spotted a headline whilst browsing that the PS5 version makes very good use of the DualSense. Just downloading the trial to see for myself.
