Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

Right i'm just completely ****ing stuck at Ornstein and Smough now. Soloing is impossible with the gear I have it seems, litterally one attack can be blocked and after that the other comes and rapes me.

The first half is extremely easy with Solaire even though he is a retard, he still distracts Ornstein while I go to town on Smough, who is damn easy. However super Ornstein is just laughably overpowered :D 1 hit and you die even with a shield most the time it seems. Really really difficult.

The only thing that's too hard is the controller I HATE THEM, i hate the feel of them if i wanted a console controller i'd buy a controller simples!. I really cannot get the hang of using one, when it comes to a keyboard and mouse i know where every button is without looking but not a controller. Too many times i've gone to hit A when i've hit B and vice versa

Yeah true, but I must admit Dark Souls is always going to be far more suited on controllers, even if they did get better K+M controls they would still be difficult and annoying to use imo.

Yeah I had that problem with my controller when I first started using it, but I gradually got used to it I guess

Everytime i pick a controller up i feel like a kid who's got his first keyboard, it's that difficult for me!. I used to build computers for a living but a controller uhhh :(

I also had the first keyboard problem when I built my PC :D Never played on a keyboard or 360 pad before so both were new to me :p

Anyway time for some lunch and then for another go at Ornstein and co.

I generally take down Ornstein first, I find superpowered Smough a lot easier to handle as melee :p

It does indeed :D tried summoning some other players to help you with it instead? Only tried co-op once last year when I was messing around with a build on my Thief, but I remember it being a breeze with a couple of other players.

I'm sure you'll be fine :) you get a lot of helpful players that are really well geared and at a much higher level that're usually doing co-op fights for their covenant ("Sun-bros", or "Sunbronies" as I like to call them). They're more likely to actually carry you through the fight :D but either way, an extra pair of hands helps and if you just do what you normally do I doubt you'll have any issues.
 
I really hope this has sold enough to warrant a proper PC sequel from them in the future because the formula for the game is so good :p, it's filing the void I have that d3 made after disappointing even though they are different games

You summon others to down your boss. Putting your sign down lets you get summoned as a Blue Phantom to get souls, but doesn't defeat the boss in your game.

Hi mate, ordered a Dark Souls key from this company at around 8:00am this morning, I've received order confirmation and payment accepted emails, but I'm yet to receive the CD key information.:confused: I was just wondering how long yours took to be sent to you following transaction, I paid via paypal instant bank transfer. I've emailed customer support but still awaiting reply. Cheers for any info.

I should think it has, and has certainly covered all porting costs (were there any!? :p) already. Nearly 10,000 people playing on just steam at the same time, taking into account the people who have retail/just GFWL who haven't activated steam and time zones for others playing etc. there must have been a good 60k+ sold so far!

Can't wait for their next game! :D
