I really don't get ppl moaning about been killed while been a fresh spawn! Stop running around like a idiot and u won't get shot!

When u have gear you don't run across the middle of balota airfield and expect to live, so why do it when u have no gear???? Take i. Time and scout areas first!

These launch options helped me a little
-cpuCount=8 -nosplash -noPause -maxMem=8192

So so true, will be interesting to see what happens when there is more content. However given the way some current players SOS at the moment when they add vehicles they will also be adding road rage. Wonder if a more dangerous Zombie threat would encourage better co op play?

I just looted the whole of balota and didnt find one gun :| even changed servers a few times and still nothing.

you know you can explore and pickup loot from multiple locations over many many hours.

I was confused as to why i found no loot in the entire airfield so wanted to try another server. Still got nothing!

turn off any blur options in graphics and post processing. disable clouds as this causes a fps drop as well.

Setting -maxMem to anything above 2047 causes the game engine to default back to 2047.

-cpuCount to anything above 4 is a waste of time as the game isn't optimised for multi core CPUs and never did like i7s..

Nope, when you log out your gear is safe.

Till you log back in and someone shoots you in the face that is.

you wont get it cheaper it will only increase. they dont need to drop the price why?

because if you dont want to pay that much they have the mod so you buy arma 2 combined ops use free mod.

they have this sown up.price wont drop.

I still totally disagree about the price Dg - As I said in my post a page or two ago there are almost no games in existence that have successfully increased in price over time (except minecraft, which we all know was a crazy runaway success, and started out under £10)

It might hold its price... in the same way that games from a series like COD that are just so ridiculously popular at launch and the publishers don't want to allow the old games to be cheap alternatives to the newer ones if they can (because secretly they know every game in the series is an incremental change from the last at best)... But DayZ doesn't strike me as the same sort of game (i.e. no monster frat-boy captive audience and guaranteed sales)

With that in mind surely once the initial wave of those who were big fans of the mod have paid and it's been out for ages you don't think there's even a slight chance they might allow it into a Steam sale?

dont forget there was also a £51.00 version of SA available at launch. One of the bonuses was forum access and a PDF map

Its well worth £20 IMO. Its a pretty sweet game now, and it "should" only get better.

marker your server screwed at moment so much lag and desyncs.

i ran in a building in churno opened a door and went through it to another location on map :confused:

I'm really enjoying it in its current form. Even though its lacking a lot of stuff from the mod, I think its actually better. I've racked up 36hrs on it now. Well worth the £20
