Anyway, here's how to change your FOV with a bit more accuracy than using the slider. Works exactly the same as Arma 2 although I've not tested these on DayZ yet to make sure they look and feel correct.

1) Go to Documents\DayZ Other Profiles\USERNAME and open up USERNAME.DayZProfile in whatever text editor you use. Scroll to near the bottom and you'll see two values, fovTop and fovLeft.

2) Calculate what vertical FoV corresponds to your desired horizontal FoV using this calculator. Make sure the "resolution" information is correct!

3) Take that number, go to Google, and search "X degrees in radians" to convert it. It should be a small number, between .5 and 1.5 in all likelihood. Round it off at the hundredths - I hear ArmA will chop off any digits after that anyway.

4) Enter that value as fovTop in notepad. You will also see the line

fov=xxxxxx;

I deleted that so the engine would reset it to the default value.

5) Using a calculator, divide that number by the second number in your aspect ratio - in my case, 16:10, so I divide it by 10. Then multiply it by the first number, in my case 16. Now enter that number for fovLeft, and round it the same way (leaving only 2 digits after the decimal point).

For the lazy:

Using 90 degrees on the below resolutions

1920 x 1080 at 90 FOV =
fovTop=1.03;
fovLeft=1.83;

1680 x 1050 at 90 FOV =
fovTop=1.13;
fovLeft=1.80;

2560x1440 at 90 FOV
fovTop=1.02;
fovLeft=1.83;

1920x1200 at 90 FOV
fovTop=1.13;
fovLeft=1.81;

2560x1600 at 90 FOV =
fovTop=1.13;
fovLeft=1.76;

Admin can login via direct chat, we have listplayer, kick and global chat available.. I have used the global chat to give a ten minute warning on restart..

Although, he could have been near you as well..
 
This is A3 Breaking Point on High, I can't max it at 60FPS with my GPU when I go above High :/ Although the usage does not go about 60% ish If I could get A3 to max my GPU and the cores more I could probs whack it up. Clouds are on Low I think as they hit the frames for me.

Less buggy then A2 and SA zeds thats for sure. I mean if you have A3 you might as well give it ago. I am playing both atm, A3 even has dead nation which is pretty good as well.

I'm defo gona give it ago. Prefer to make an informed decision before passing judgement. Will mostly likely stream it at some point this week!

Cant get enough of Epoch atm, wish i'd got stuck into that soon. Funny How Franki1080 hasn't posted any SA videos tho hey!

Yeah Epoch is a great mod, I do hope either A3 or SA gets it at some stage. Epoch pretty much kept the mod alive over the past 5-6 months? IMO SA and A3 both have a place with this and I hope they both do well tbh.

had some funny moments with some guys on markers with fire extinguishers :D

why all three had them :confused::p

also marker i dont get why your server is de-syncing so bad . just had another lag then put me back to where i was 10 minutes ago. that's twice in 30 minutes its done that. who you hosted with ?

there used to be a similar thing with mod and port issue and not saving locations. id restart it again.
 
I had this when the server first went up and I said it in a post. But mine has been fine ever since that day. Also no one else is posting it is desyncing which is weird o rama. For me it was a simple router reboot, but if your mates are getting it as well I dunno :/
