well you said " overall its pretty decent now"....that why i ask when the next major patch is.... Quit trolling fool
im not trolling you said the games broken when it isnt , its a alpha !
people have gone over the state of the game till blue in face. mods been out close to two years . SA been out few weeks yet people expect it to be floorless when its alpha and been out such a short period of time.
the worst thing is so many are trolling for stupid response the game isn't even that bad if you can play dayz properly. if you look its the same people with these replies aswell. so even if they announced everything they want they still say something else or its screwed.
the sa will have all better features the maps and more content than the mod version along with better systems animations yet people are writing it off or saying its broke cause its been out for a few weeks
thing is is half of the sillys went over to the official forums searched or checked the issues they speak of they would see 99 percent are being fixed or known about.
the worst thing is i know in the next ten pgs of this thread the very same people will just bleat on without checking or just keep trolling . so boring and alpha will probably last all of this year. so its gunna be a long long very boring ride. if people cant take that go play others games till then.
steve you don't have fraps set right that's why. there's a few basic settings that many don't do then rage about fraps.

You said "overall its pretty decent now" which it clearly is not it is much worse than Normal dayz mod. Of course I know its alpha and there will bugs. Thats why I asked when the patch is out making the game less buggy and normal dayz.....

For anyone on the fence be aware that it isn't due to hit Beta until the end of the year so expect a year of Alpha shenanigans.
Fro what I've seen/read the game is perfectly playable in its current state if you can deal with janky UI, animations and such. If you are looking for a polished experience come back in 12 months time but even then due to the Arma engine + MP I'm not sure how polished it will actually feel

i said the alpha will run till the end of this year probably. as for the magical patch there isn't one ! i wasn't being funny your patch to fix your issues isn't available as no one knows what exactly you want.
patches basically are going to come out like now often and small when tested . this way instead of adding massive big patches like bf4 which end up being a utter mess and untested and too big too be tested.
so first get the game stable then add big content. alpha will mainly be getting it stable and some base features in. the building blocks.

Didn't go on it last night but supposedly there's a patch to fix rubber banding. Will have a go today and see if it's actually done owt.

Agreed somewhat. I think the companies, or even maybe Steam should dictate the amount of purchases allowed to be made on an early access product. I mean selling 800k units for an alpha is rather insane!
I suppose the freedom is good though and the developer should reap the rewards of a successful project even if it is an alpha. At the end of the day it is up to the consumer to make the decision.
I'm sure the DayZ devs will make good on most of their expiations but I'm sure people are going to expect far too much of the game plus 12-18 months down the line when the game comes out I'm sure most of their fan base will be on the next big thing.

The game is not actually that bad for a alpha release. Even before you buy you should know what you are getting into at least. This constant whining is ridiculous.

Current thinking from the Devs is "Don't expect to be into Beta until 2015".
So pretty much, don't expect it to be ready until then.
Seems their dev schedule is little and often, but the content will vary on what they are working on, which won't suit everyone. This is the problem with transparent development. Normally you'd not see something this early, just a Beta/Near ready product.
It can take as long as it needs etc as I just think of the Alpha access as a bonus to paying £20 for a game, same as Star Citizen in that respect, although I've pledged much more to that an Elite.

and replied with something like:

Just read a thread, which has now been deleted on the official forum.
Seems that hicks (a bis/dayz developer) kicked and banned a guy for killing his girlfriend who was streaming in twitch...
Seems to be ok when a dev admins a server, but not ok for the rest of us, another of the reasons why hosting an official dayz server is pointless.. 13 days and counting until mine is cancelled

Wish I had saved the images, where she wrote on twitch that she would phone hicks.
The bottom line is, she stated she would get him kicked banned from the server for stream killing.. Let's face it, if someone is stupid enough to advertise the server they are on they deserve it..
