***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

You have done some great things in the short time I have known you Witcher. But giving this thread at least a tiny bit of punctuation and grammar back. Perfect :D

I've been having a crack at this for a good few days now.

The majority of the individuals I've come across on there have been perfectly friendly - giving away weapons, advising on directions etc. But of course I've come across a fair few who call out 'Friendly!' in the chat box, and then kindly donate a bullet-shaped piece of lead into various appendages.

It may become very, very tedious once they introduce bacterial and viral infections etc. though. But it may 'make' the game.

Good spot of fun at the moment.

I envy anyone who plays Solo in this game. It's so easy to get taken out :D

Group play and safety in numbers :D

It really is.
Yesterday I logged back in after having got a hefty backpack full of various ammunition types; food; canteen; sticks and bandages for the inevitable leg breaks whilst walking up stairs; then some bloke glitches through the floor, with just his head showing.

He was with a crew, I was not.
I had an SKS with plenty of ammunition, but that's no match for a group of people, with a glitchy bloke thrown in!

I was rapidly dispatched.

It happens, but the bloke in the floor probably didn't even know he was in the floor. It tends to happen most in supermarkets, when on your screen you'll be seen as walking up the stairs fine and on ground level, but to others, you'll be walking through the floor.

Zombies do it the most and can be a pain in the ass to hit.

Spot on - it was in a supermarket.

Anyone have any idea how to keep things dry? I had sticks for a splint and shotgun ammunition within a supposed 'raincoat' but they were ruined by rain. I of course managed to break my chap's arm, just before discovering the coat was a little permeable...

I didn't think rain could ruin things yet?
I know you get the warning etc but they said ruined items from rain will be something they add later

Rain doesn't ruin things, in future updates it'll make you ill if you get wet and cold etc, but it can't run sticks.

You probably damaged your sticks/ammo when you broke your arm as any kind of damage can hurt your stuff as well as yourself. Taken any zombie hits at all?

You are both quite right - I hadn't considered the possibility of sticks getting busted by zombie hits. Rain has done nothing untoward on a server this evening, so it must've just been those hits.

They just managed to ruin a CZ75 and .357mag revolver! Strong boogers them thur zombies.

i actually uninstalled SA today.

cant be doing with the work rate and excuses.

ill stick to breaking point,2017, plus others on arma 3 now.

hopefully dayz sa dev team can pull their fingers out their asses and get it done in a decent time frame while player base is still strong.

Haha.... 6 weeks called, they want this statement back!
