***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

Anyone tried the new patch ? Any feedback on it ?

Well the rubber banding has gone that was in the experimental, so that is good. To be honest didn't notice much of a change in the couple of hours I played yesterday, purely because, the character I had in the regular mode was fully kitted. I did come across a couple of goats, but I only had a crowbar, so couldn't harvest any meat.

The only down side was the first server I joined was obviously bugged because the zombies were invisible, and there were zero items to collect (i.e. not even rotten fruit) Joined a different server and it was fine.

A group of us 'played' this the other night to see what progress it had made. None of us will be going back in to try it again the 'game' is so bad.

The zombies are a joke while they should be the main focal point of the game.

Still no vehicles.

Sound bugs constantly.

Lol, I can say this because I was gifted the pile of rubbish.....you've all been had, guys n gals.

I wouldn't say I've been had, it'll be good when it's eventually finished. It seems like the patches are including more stuff recently too. Probably the threat of H1Z1 putting a rocket up them.

Vehicles are a long, long way away. The sound bugs are incredibly irritating, essentially rendering your ears useless as you can't be sure if it's a player reloading/drinking/eating etc. or just a bug, or indeed if there is a zombie aggro-ing near you...

The zombies are fun as they are. I like being attacked through walls and vertically through floors by zombies that are actually outside...

just had a quick go of this after not playing for awhile go a few bit after running away from 3 zombies who were chasing me as soon as i spawned climbed over broken wall out in some fields and broke my leg :s just quit the game at that point :(

Lol i agree they should remove the Z until they fix them and why have they not fixed the looking/walking/shooting threw walls yet.....

:( Don't Say that I bough the game last week..... Guess i will got back to Breakingpoint once the new map is out.

Sorry I don't mean to be cynlical but the fixes are way overdue now

The new engine promise is smoke and mirrors.

Current problems:

1. Zombies clipping
2. Major slowdown on FPS in cities
3. Inventory bugs
4. Combat system and hit boxes
5. And possibly the KOS mentality of 12 year olds

Sorry but a new type of ****ing beans won't make up for the above

We already have the new engine (we had it from day one), they just call it new as they have stripped more out of it to gain the best performance they can, well that is how I understand it anyway might be wrong. At least the mouse issues seem fixed now.

Did you not read the last 20 odd pages of this thread at all? Think the opinion is pretty unanimous.

Oh had a go on 0.45 couple of nights ago, found a cow wandering about and a new pistol, loads of new clothes and thats all I really noticed. Not bad for 2 months work lol
