***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

I reckon it should be possible to open canned food with just your bare hands....even if you only end up with 50% food ..... I mean it is possible with some brute force and it being a survival game why not?

I think that's the least of your worries with this game lol

Aside from it being buggy as hell and the airfield glitch spots taking me out all the time. :(

*editted in red, stupid phone and autocorrect

Me and my girlfriend played this together a few months ago, came back to it again last night, thoroughly unimpressed with the lack of progress.

The biggest killer for me is the movement, it feels so sluggish, like you're drunk, I constantly end up walking into door frames rather than through them. I don't know about everyone else, but I can easily jog up a hill/stairs for at least a few seconds, not slow to a walk every time.

As a software dev, I don't understand how some melee weapons work and some don't, I mean, surely they are all melee weapons with different attributes/statistics, doesn't make sense to me.

You won't find public servers that somehow only have non-KOS players! Anyone can join, meaning any kind of playing style goes.

I enjoy PvP and will continue to shoot on sight anyone who appears to have gear I need, or is a potential threat. Bigger back pack? They're gone. Moisin? They're especially gone (unless they see me first, in which case I pretty much always lose).

But this latest update means you don't actually need to go into towns; you can now survive without going into highly populated areas. But you'll need gear first, and for that why not get someone else to loot for you? Then you take it upon yourself to remove their need for gear.

Really? Open a tin with your bare hands?? How?

Waits for the hilarious and bloody YT link of someone attempting to open a tin with their bare hands.....

Sort of miss worded that meant it asin is there anyone on here who hasnt got the KOS mentality who would be willing to join up.

Nope, kill or be killed.

I don't mean team mates obviously, but on any server you will either get sniped or shot point blank because the other bloke cant speak english and thinks your robbing him.

Oh and if you run away without shooting you will get shot cos you have nice gear that means you dont want to talk

Yep, I figured the same. I honestly hope H1Z1 lives up to the hype. I think we're at the point now where the ArmA 2 engine is so bad and clunky that we'll never see any performance increases, they'll just keep adding more useless stuff in hopes that people will just 'forget' or get over it. Thank God I didn't buy this game.
