***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

As far as I'm aware this isn't a forum that is based on or condones cheating and as such cheating members of any community should always be exposed and their servers blacklisted for all games they play, IMO. That way the remaining members of the community aren't duped into playing on any servers where a person who is also an admin of other servers freely admits cheating and glitching to get ahead and ruin other players genuine fun and effort. Theres no such thing as someone cheating in one multiplayer game and having morals in another, once a cheater always a cheater.

Its exactly these types of people that give decent admins a bad reputation because the first instant someone gets killed by an admin, especially in a DayZ style game there is always doubt on the credibility of that person.
 
The new renderer isn't due for a while so if you get low FPS in towns then you're out of luck until they fix it.

I haven't had any problems with hackers, I mostly play on first person experimental at the moment. There are numerous duping bugs as well but I haven't really come across anyone exploiting them. I don't tend to go to NWAF though.
 
No, it's pretty much the biggest con of a game ive come across and this is taking into account that it's "early access" aka the universal get out of jail excuse for your game being a steaming pile of broken turd.

Get arma 3 in the steam sale this weekend and get breaking point mod which utterly destroys dayz standalone in every way imaginable.
 
DayZ standalone is really not worth it as it stands, I got tired of waiting for them to actually release proper changes in it other than adding more random towns and weapons, both of which I dont need/want.

I bought Arma3 looking to play Breaking Point and other zombie related mods, but I ended up sending most of my time playing Altis Life :P

Anyway, go buy Arma3 and give the mods a try instead of going Dayz SA!
