I get 60fps in the country side, but in cherno or elektro it's a lot lower, 32fps+
 
server can still effect fps

in some you will drop to 20-25 fps regardless of pc. thing is dayz isnt a game where you need massive fps and 30 fps is fine .
 
Constant stutter every 15 or so seconds since last update, annoying... No mention of it even being fixed in latest patch either.

Also performance for me is generally terrible relative to arma 2 and the old mod, used to run everything maxed out and get 40-60 fps now I get about 30 which deeps to around 18 in urban areas.

I thought the entire point of this dayz standalone was to remove all the needless arma 2 junk which would make it perform better ? Well it's made it worse than the mod ever was in terms of performance, not my setup either as it's the same for a couple of my mates.

Performance wise the mod ran better for me on its firSt week of release, so forgive me for expecting a bit more from the standalone I paid for on the first week of release.

You'd think one of the first priorities when putting the standalone together would be to deliver same level of performance as mod but the fps is way lower.

and if my time playing arma etc has taught me anything it's "don't ever expect huge performance increases in any Bohemia games".

they even put a disclaimer in before you buy the game and on the menu that it's in development and expect nothing to work :p performance is bound to fluctuate as they tinker about with stuff.
 
I know, I'm just saying Bohemia full releases are usually still broken as **** so forgive me for not having much hope in the retail being that much better.

for you !

mine runs fine on max settings avg is about 50-60 fps drops to lows of about 25 in cities sometimes. so similar fps to the mod. this looks better and is better than mod so i find that acceptable . if you are hacing issues maybe you should try and find out what they are.

For you yes but most people are getting good frames. If you wanted good performance and all the rest you should have bought it in a years time when it starts beta. I am not even a fanboy, I just understand what Alpha is and anything can happen. People systems will all run it different at this stage.

to be fair its not way lower for me, it has actually improved. I think you need to give them some time to work things out then if its not sorted you can flame as much as you like, but at least give them a little time to sort it out.

I know you can come back with they have had plenty of time to work on these issues and you would expect standalone to perform better on release, but its not (at least for you anyway), so be patient :D

ps It works great for me, dont know if I have said that already but......IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME :D

Bohemia games don't do good performance even on full release, just differing levels of poor performance :p

Anyway I appreciate it's an alpha, just a bit shocked at the lack of progression over a two year period, I'm sure it's a big job but it's Bohemia and thus I get the impression the actual devs whilst ambitious and full of good ideas aren't perhaps the most talented guys in the world in terms of technical ability... It's pretty much the only conclusion you can come to from playing unpolished Bohemia games which have had the same issues since the Op flashpoint days.

If only a major developer would make a dayz with no dumbing down, just the same deepness/ballistics etc but with an engine which isnt... well arma, one can dream I guess.

It doesn't really run better or worse for me, still bad.

Is the OcUK server not up? I wanted to hope on and try and find some ocuk people to hunt.

Yeah but it runs like poop for me, lots of red chain and when in combat even without the red chain I have to fire about 10 bullets to put someone down. I am fine on other servers though :(
