***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

We finally have Daylight times on our server as it's currently the most popular way to play the game for most.

Each server restart the time will be 10am in the game and it'll revert to that time after every auto/manual server restart.

Server is set to Hardcore so there's no 3rd person view :)
 
Is there a way not to lose your character? Logged out on Tuesday night and came back Wednesday to no character and then logged out last night to come back to my character today with my backpack and everything I found gone :/

The last patch made separate Hives (databases essentially) for Normal & Hardcore servers. Some people got gear back they lost a few days previous, yet most of our lot had to start new characters on our Hardcore server.

Try connecting to both types of server and see if your gear appears.
 
Guys do you know if they'll be sorting out performance any time soon? As soon as we roll up to Cherno (place with all the tower blocks I think?) my FPS goes down the ****ter. Anyone know why that is?
 
me and massey had a great night hunt clearing behrizino :cool: recording some fun stalkings :p one low we have trapped combat logged about 20 minutes in :(

think i might start only playing night time a lot more fun ! :D
 
Well now all the daytime servers are so full I can't find any food, and die withing 40mins of spawning, great gameplay :(

Literally pointless to play now, even as an apha tester unless you go on an empty server its only a matter of a few minutes until you starve to death lol

You chose first person for immersion, yet remove the night time? :(

Its a shame that most servers are removing the night time, its part of the game and it adds WAY more immersion then forcing first person.

Why not add a couple of hours of night? And then reboot? I don't want to leave your server as I've been playing on it for about a week.
 
Played hardcore last night for first time ever. Pretty full server and only met one guy early on in the general store who had a magnum pointed at me and said "I take it you are friendly?"

Hopefully they can figure out a working way of having a fast day/night cycle. Not holding out much hope knowing the Arma engine!
 
Well once they get the loot/zombie spawns working there should be little need for reboots. Just need that accelerated time cycle working and all will be good.
 
i struggle to see how many cant find food. i met massey as new spawn last night within 30 minutes we had rice box of cerals tuna fruit more than enough to last a whole day.


remember you only need to eat like 1 time a hr if you eat enough same with drink. drink until it says you stuffed(which takes about 20 drinks at a pond/water pump).

main reason many servers is light only is rankings and they want the busiest server.

night time is more fun though shame more don't enjoy it.
