Bad news guys, it looks like I wont be able to make it for this meet. :(

Main problem is getting time off work. Being the lazy student bum that I am, I tend to work at the weekend and it is really hard getting time off. Still going to keep trying but so far two other people on my department are already off on the weekend in question - the outlook isn't good.

The other minor problem is cost. I know someone offered me a lift but there is the whole hotel thing because I would like a few drinks [read: lots] after having travelled so far :D

I will let you all know in the next few days either way for sure.

I really don't know what's going to be on my plate that day, but if I can, I definitely will. it would be great to put some faces to the names.

I would just need to get the last train back to Oxford - although they go pretty late.
 
sound's like a plan to me, as long as I don't have to install 10g again I'll be a happy DCer.

My only thought is that on a Sat night they will all get quite busy so we'll (or at least someone) will need to get there earlyish to garuntee a seat / seats/ space

Well, I don't know what time the pie place serves pie, so if we want to do pie, then that's what time we need to be there for pie. Also depends whether it's pie in the afternoon, or pie in the evening. :)

Is that enough pie for one post? :)

I can be there anytime mate. Just a shame I have to get back to the other side of london by about 11pm.

Still, if we were to start around 3ish then I think that may be long enough for my poor old body. Plus I have a 300 mile round trip (as a passenger) early sunday morning so too massive a hangover isn't desirable.
