Declining attitude to law and order

I caught this earlier.

What I would disagree with is his claims that the police are still under-resourced, they should show that they can spend what resources they already have responsibly before demanding more. Prioritising hurty words is not good value for money and what do they do about 'offensive' people outside UK jurisdiction anyway?

Hurting peoples feelings are not crimes unless you live in some sort of totalitarian state that seeks to control every aspect of peoples lives and curtail all individual freedoms (oh wait.. we do now don't we), if you're that sensitive then simply don't log onto the internet and lets go back to being country that supports all freedoms (the bad comes with the good it's the price you have to pay).

Police aren't asking for more, they're asking for a return to resource levels and funding they had only several years ago, and since then demand has continued to increase and other services have continued to offload their workloads onto the police because the police can't say no.

If you're willing to believe that the police are genuinely "prioritising hurty words" over crime that actually harms communities, you're as gullible as the media outlets peddling that message want you to be. It's complete and utter nonsense.

Police arrest a couple for trying to buy too many bottles of water. We can all sleep safe and sound tonight!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-drag-couple-floor-arrest-Tesco-checkout.html

Just pin assault on them for resisting a ridiculous arrest that sums up how pathetic the police have become, it's like some kind of game where you just have to arrest as many people as you can for whatever jobsworth reason you can pin on them with no care about prioritising more serious crime or whether your actions are actually leading to a safer country.

Yeah I've been warning about the impending police state/martial law for many years now. This is just the beginning of the control procedures and how enslaved humanity will become. Wake up people, we are now not at liberty to buy 50 litres of water, i mean do we realise how ****ed up this is i cant think of a better wake up call. Every civil right and liberty is being slowly eroded by the elite.

Im assuming this whole charade occurred because they have now received orders to start implementation of rationing procedures for the impending martial law/police state. It needs to be done slowly so they will be like "report people spending over £30 on grocery because its now a crime to have a big family", then next year it will be like "report anyone buying a TV" (oh wait they do that already lmao), its the same as how they are now asking people to report people if they do so much as drive a decent car. Bad times ahead guys.

Just look how he takes sides without any reasoning. Thats because they are programmed. The idea that there is a citizen who is not at liberty to buy 50 litres of drinking water was never questioned once. That is painful. Surely the first thing which needs to be established is that how can one citizen actually lose their freedom to buy 50 litres of drinking water. Yet the enforcer comes along and starts relinquishing even more liberties.

Look how autonomous it is, and if you think thats sad wait till we have cyborg/police drones.

Well that'll be because any shop can refuse to sell anyone anything, be it limits or whatever.

A police officer can't get involved and start arguing with the supermarket.

I'm not saying it was handled well.

Your probably being watched right now

I WANT TO BUY ALL OF THE WATER IN THE STORE BECAUSE IT'S ON SALE

No you can't do that.

So you have two choices: Say fair enough and put the excess items back on the shelves OR you can argue with staff and security to the point where police need to be called.

So regardless of the police's response, even letting it get that far is stupid.

If you think that's all that happened you're being a bit gulliable

Tesco won't have called the poilice to stop people buying more of something than they're willing to sell them, and the police won't tackle people to the ground beat them or whatever and arrest them just because they want to buy water.

What's far more likely is that the Tesco staff refused to sell them the water in the quantity they wanted, which is reasonable and often part of store policy (IE you don't let someone buy up your entire stock, this is most obvious on offers).
The customers kicked off enough for store security to decide to call the police, and continued to kick off when the police arrived.

It certainly looks like the video has some cuts/edits to it.

Asim you're showing your conspiracy and nonsense again.

Any store can refuse to sell to anyone for any reason as long as it's not one of those that are illegal (say race/religion).

Almost every major store in the country has a policy in regards to how much of it's stock it will sell to a single customer to try and ensure other customers can buy stuff, and especially if there is any shortage or offer.

You talk about everyone else being gullible and "programmed" through NLP and other nonsense, yet you have zero issues taking an edited video at face value despite common sense suggesting something else was going on.

The latest decline in law and order. I'm it's a similar situation in other parts of the country.

Most theft, burglary, arson and criminal damage is no longer investigated by police (Greater Manchester)
https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...s/most-theft-burglary-arson-criminal-15254960

Almost half the crimes reported to Greater Manchester Police are not being investigated, we can reveal – including most theft, shoplifting, burglary, criminal damage, arson and public order offences.

A staggering 17,000 violent crimes were not followed up by officers last year, with police chiefs blaming stark budget cuts for the pattern.

Every week the Manchester Evening News newsroom gets calls and emails from victims of crime mystified that the police are not investigating - and today's figures seem to bear out those concerns.

I guess we'll never know what happened during the moments that were mysteriously cut by the Daily Fail from the video.
[SNIP]
Speaking to the camera, the man says: 'So, we're in Tesco, Rochdale, and for some reason they've got a different policy to every other Tesco up and down the country. Every other Tesco we managed to get these Volvic bottles, as many as we want.
EVERY other Tesco up and down the country?

That's some thirst you got there bud.

So they bought a load of water, potentially to resell for profit - which is bad as Tesco probably put this is on promotion as a loss leader to bring in custom - and when Tesco told them they couldn't, they argued with security and staff and forced the Police to be called, at which point they were arrested. I don't really see the problem here.

There isn't a problem, Asim is going a bit doo lally. Tesco doesn't have to sell you anything, there are no liberties being taken away here.

No shop has to sell you anything (unless it's a gay cake from a christian bakery).
