Declining attitude to law and order

The problem is all people aren't like you. It is interesting that you typed "I don't steal as I consider it fundementally wrong, not because I am scared of being caught or going to jail.". You should be scared of being caught and/or going to jail, the fact you aren't proves the point the system is failing.

You misunderstand my position, it is not that I don't think I would get caught or be punished, it is that I don't break the law (in spite of that), so the risk is literally zero. Even if I knew I could 100% get away with something, I wouldn't do it because morals.

The part about religion kinda misses the point. Who cares what the motive is for being good as long as they are being good and not causing mayhem to other people? You've let your anti-religious opinion dominate over logic.

Your opinion of what I said dominates over logic too, I never said it was a bad thing, just that such self-righteous types aren't actually altruistic, which I find amusing.

Aye ok mr Saudi level of authority. next you'll be calling for murder.

Well this is the problem, I knew my opinion wouldnt be popular, society has gone all softy softy to children and as a result they can run rampant.

That response sort of says children should never have a punishment that will make them scared to do something again, so basically they can do what they want. If I am wrong, then please explain how you propose to make children who dont care about authority behave themselves.

Haahhaahaa about damn time.

These videos are hilarious, however it’s about damn time the cops did something against these clowns.

Reminds me of playing Carmageddon when I was a kid :D

Yeah that video is awesome, I can only imagine the disbelief they experienced as they were fully expecting to get away

And who do you suppose pays for it when they're not caught and continue committing crimes? Stealing, damaging and injuring.

Oh come on... i talk about the context of those things all the time (get summarily ignored with pitiful tabloid level arguments) and the ONE moment i go into the head of a absolutist pleb...

Seeing that video all over the internet, to universal acclaim. I've not seen anyone criticising it.

A pair of ******* on a moped did try to get my phone off me on Goswell road in 2016, one of whom was wielding a hammer, so I have experienced the moped clowns first hand.

The problem was - as the cops made it public that they resist chasing them, they got bolder and bolder - even attacking people in broad daylight in places like Oxford street.

We need more brute force like this from the police, too much reluctance to use force has ended up with an almost wild-west situation on the streets at night, they need to re-address the balance.

If any of these criminals come to any harm as a result of these tactics - I'll have the worlds smallest violin ready to go.

Not one bit of sympathy from me.

Again, another difference between US Policing and UK.

AIUI, Once you run from the US Police you are deemed as being essentially expendable. The priority is to stop you using whatever means necessary before you hurt any third parties...

And guess what, the perpetrator knows that, so he/she ultimately has no choice but to go full psycho instead of compromising.

Yesterday the BBC news covered this. Part of a big clampdown by the Met apparently. Both the 6 o'clock news and 10 o'clock news played clips of the moped crims being knocked flying off their scooters. Must say it was good to see, they've been running amok for far too long.

Edit:
Here's the full piece. Mischief apparently down 44%. Job's a good 'un. :)

They do have a choice, they can not break the law. If they want to go "full psycho" then they'll end up dead or in a hell hole for 25 to life. These people live in some of the most prosperous countries in the entire world, at one of the best times to be alive, yet instead of taking advantage of the almost limitless opportunities to work and better themselves, they go out and commit violent attacks on their fellow citizens. I'd be happy to give the Police bigger vehicles, or shotguns failing that.
