Great review, toekiller! (and same to the guy below) I am SOO itching for my screen to arrive now (next wk I hope). Btw, Doom3 can be set to a widescreen ratio: you need the 1.1 patch and a couple of tweaks in the ini file. Do a search on the widescreengamingforum.com to find out what they are.

Cheers! :)

can someone who currently has a 22" iiyama or mitsi diamonscan, and is intending to get this monitor or has it in hand please let me know. as i am very very reluctant to give up my crt unless i can be sure it wont disappoint.
i play a lot of fps games and watch movies.

Just got mine today, this thing is a beast, great for Photoshop and media!

16:9 DVDs look awesome on this screen, no complaints so far!

No dead pixels, no backlight bleeding, stand is excellent, really gives you so much control over the screen and is very sturdy!

Card ready is actually handier than i expected and speeds seems pretty good!

Now just waiting for HL2 to update so i can see how my X850XT handles gaming at the 2405s native res :D

This monitor is absolutely excellent! Just as everyone has said, no dead pixels, backlight bleeding or anything really.

My only problem is the quality of my consoles on this monitor, but that only comes down to using composite so far. Got to get some component leads for my GC, PS2 and Xbox.

I will grab my Dad's camera a bit later once its all in place and get some pics up.

And so have mine. :D

Impressive monitor, though at first glance, the 'screendoor' effect is a little more prominent than on my 2000FP.

Mind you, I just managed to 'crash' the monitor while playing with the PIP functionality!

LOL knew someone would take the bait.

Think you might but not if I buy 2x 24" ers eh....
Oh and if your not using them all at once it dont count, proof is required ;)

Regarding the X2vga it offers the same quality as the Offical Component Cable. Stick to the X2vga that way your component socket be free for a dvd player etc.

Thanks :)

It's slightly excessive, but (un)fortunately the laptop that these two are running cannot output to more than two monitors. If it could Toekiller... :p

1920 x 1200
1920 x 1200
1600 x 1200
1600 x 1024
1280 x 1024
800 x 480 (on the projector :o )

I think nearly 10 megapixels of desktop real estate is bordering on the excessive.
