Dell S2716DG - Dells first G-sync

There was a LOT of problems with those Acer monitors. Apparently the version 2s are better, but OCUK doesn't state which ones they are selling. Otherwise I might be temped as well :/

@badass in your review, where you have stored the icc profile could you change under Preset Mode "standard" to "custom colour"? It's causing a bit of confusion amongst some noobs and is actually wrong. :p

This is the setting I'm using now

On Screen Display: Brightness 26 / Contrast 75 / Red 97 / Green 97 / Blue 96

Nvidia Control Panel: Brightness 40 / Contrast 37 / Gamma 0.80 / Digital vibrance 53% (+3%)

i was going to take a chance on this monitor but the price keeps fluctuating wildly. surely it puts people off when you sell it at £429, then jack it back up to £499, then go to £455, and finally back to £499? i'm not going to take the chance now unless it goes back down to £429

nvidia settings override application based profiles (.icc/.icm)
vibrance and hue will enhance an existing profile but can cause banding and clipping.

Thinking of buying one of these, stayed away from asus and acer because of their issues, any issues with this guys?
Always have faith in dell but need to know before I buy, also I see B grade vesriosn of this monitor on sale here on ocuk, whats the diffrerence?

B grade are likely returns. Maybe with back light bleed or dead pixels etc. I'm tempted myself

From a Web Chat: "unfortunately with b-grade they can have cosmetic wear and may and some dead pixels."

Why on earth sell them then? Who in their right mind would want to risk getting a B Grade?

Not sure you grasp the concept of B grade.

Some people aren't bothered about a dead pixel if it saves them £200.

No but if I was buying one I wouldn't want any dead pixels. Wouldn't mind scratches or scuffs on the bezel but the screen itself should be clear of defects. Imagine if you bought one of these B Grade Dell monitors and it had a dead pixel in the middle area, not worth £100 let alone £380.
