*** Dell UltraSharp U2410 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor @ £447.99 inc VAT ***

Seriously considering buying one of these monitors, but am a bit wary because of all the problems. Is A02 pretty much the standard now, or might I still get an A01 from old stock?

It would depend if the place you are paying £100 below RRP for would allow an RMA/replacement/refund if something was there that you didn't like and if it came with a full warranty. The A01 I tested was just fine.

Anyone else noticed this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-048-DE&groupid=17&catid=510&subcat= ?

It's the usual Dell UltraSharp U2410 (no mention of revision, but OcUK never do :() but instead of the usual 3 Years On-Site warranty (Dell Premium Guarantee - You will receive a replacement UltraSharp monitor should even one bright defective pixel appear on the screen) it's a 2 Years Return to base warranty (If you have an issue OcUK deals with the warranty on these for a 2yr period and its a return to base warranty, not on-site.)

£411.24 instead of the usual £469.99. Hmmm....

I am also intrigued. Hope it isn't on some sort of Bay.

+1

I have got a new credit card, could sell my 2407 for a good amount and get myself a new Dell U2410 for less than £150 , yes please! :)

It is on an auction site, through a Dell partner dealer with shed loads of feedback. Sold as brand new, with 3 year premium Dell UK warranty.

The seller is xpsdirect, they have one on buy it now and one on auction. One on auction sold last night for £365.

I hope not - it can't hurt to bid. If it comes with the warranty (as it says) and the guy has good feedback (like he does) then it could be worth it. As I've said my revision A01 had no noticeable problems at all.

I only have contact with Dell's PR department at the moment who are probably not technically aware enough to tell me. They may be able to forward my message though so I'll see if I can find out. It may take too long though (auction may be over by then).

If you could ask anyway that will be great, for information in any case of what the changes are. May be the panel has changed?

I have seen a U2410 Rev02 on the famous auction site with 5 year Dell next day warranty for £460!

I reckon that is an excellent deal :)
