There's a few LG IPS + LED screens coming, but I doubt they'll be as good as the U2410 as an overall package. Other than that, there's the OLEDs coming whenever, but will cost as much as a small country. Are there any other TFTs coming out soon that may dethrone the mighty U2410 24" ?

You could try this, which Somnambulist pointed me to. You easily qualify for it so should try to get yourself on the list.I'd love to get it calibrated probably down to <1.0 Delta-E (TFT Central had their review model on 0.3!), maybe when I'm feeling rich again or if I find somebody to lend me one as I just can't justify spending £100+ on a calibrator that I'll only use once every few months, or every year. I did try an ICC profile from TFTCentral and man it was nasty. Too much blue and 100% inaccurate! I suppose every monitor is 'different'.
There are a lot of nice monitors out there, but at the moment the U2410 is probably the best, unless you're thinking of going for something that costs a few thousand.
The more I tinker with this monitor's settings (the sRGB/AdobeRGB settings & brightness/contrast) the happier I get with it. Absolutely brilliant thing!

Interesting post here by a Dell guy if anyone's interested. It is a few months old, but very informative: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19314620.aspx

I've taken advantage of the this week only offer and my shiney new u2410 arrives tommorrow. Heres hoping for no dead pixels and when the inverter on the 2407 is fixed I'll have 2
I have to say it not until you have to use a crappy monitor that you realise just how good these Dell's are!
Well what, realistically, would you buy?
Put yourself in my shoes I had a great Dell 2407. What is out there at the same size and specification that is as good if not better now? As for the price well when I bought my Original 2405 which was replaced by dell under warrenty with the 2407 it was around £800.
So for me its still cheaper this time around.
In the end its down to what I think is value for money for me. I could have bought it around £100 cheaper elsewhere. However that supplyer is also a purveyor of anusol and feminie hygene products. Unlike OcUK which, to my knowlege, sell neither.
I will however expect OcUk's usual great customer service if I am less than 100% satisfied with this monitor. Unlike what I might expect from the alternative supplier
So sometimes it not the money thats the important thing
I would have probably paid the extra and bought the U2711 or maybe paid less and bought a HP ZR24w. Dont take this as im saying its a bad screen cus im not. I think its the dogs! Its pretty perfect as monitors go in my eyes.
Ahh I see where your coming from. Thing is to me the HP is a downgrade.
I fancy the 3011 in the new year maybe so this way I can turn both screens 90 degrees and sit them either side. Not something I can do with the 2711........
Anyway, so far really impressed with the u2410! No dead pixels and no tinting Rev A02.

I don't know if it was just a problem for him. Does anyone here have a u2410 and use a Slim PS3 with it?
