Delta Force: Hawk Ops

I’ve not had a chance to try it again after the second game I had the other night.

I’m probably just going to wait until the full game is out so I can play in a server of my choice.

Another Twitch drop running now if anyone hasn't got an alpha key that wants one....just have a 'drops' channel run in the background for an hour to get the key.

Guessing there's at least another week or two of alpha to go. Could be more as the devs look at how capacity reacts.

It's good and I'm enjoying it I must admit, though like previous post it's getting more and more obvious people are cheating. Player floating around the map today with a large machine gun one shotting everyone.. not so fun!

I think Im getting to old and out of touch with FPS. I know I was never great at them, but wow Im terrible now.

What mode are you playing?

I haven't done FPS for years and the Warfare (32 vs 32) was pretty easy to get into with the sniper rifles.
The extraction mode is new to me. Sometimes it goes good, sometimes the team mates are very questionable and end up getting me killed, and sometimes it's just a gear thing and map awareness where the enemy just double taps headshots and you've barely started.

Imagine my surprise when reading the updates on this.....new shooter, lots of YouTube recommendations stating that it's a BF killer, which presumably encourages other accounts to release the same video, hype builds.....cheating videos appear....people start frothing at the the mouth......how long till YouTubers start getting accused of cheating.

Cycle continues when a new game is announced and same people start frothing.

Am I right in saying creators don't have to explicitly state if a game developer has encouraged them to make a video? I'm aware for pure commercial uses they need to put some form of statement but are people so desperate for something to come along that they buy into the positivity?

Does anyone still play grayzone for instance?

this is why i far prefer single player games.
I rarely get in to multiplayer games now.

I enjoyed Helldivers 2 a lot until I started encountering team mates (usually with Chinese symbols in their username) that could suddenly call down unlimited amounts of Stratagems.

Even though it's PVE it was annoying and tainted it for me.

This game is so awesome

I know you enjoyed 2042 at times (like me) but are you finding this to be a more enjoyable, typical Battlefield style experience?

The flow of the maps are better, the graphics are nicer with some pretty impressive war like explosions, sound effects with each hit feels impactful, and some of the specialists are easier to work with without being tacky.

What I'm not keen on so far, are the helicopter controls and not being able to join on a squad mate in game and the hit reg/netcode is a little off at times

It's like a mix of Call of Duty + Battlefield Bad Company 2

So yes, much better! As long as they can keep ahead of the cheaters and give us some more maps i'll be hooked throughout

I find it way more enjoyable than 2042 - hectic battles (more like BF2 than anything else), big explosions, great maps, good gunplay, fun vehicles, good music and sound. They really nailed it. Not tried the extraction mode at all - doesn't interest me. I'm not too sold on the hero special abilities as most are useless. Would be good if they added a server browser though rather than MM

It's been almost a month since we first kicked open the doors to our PC Alpha test, and we've been truly humbled by the all the love and support you've shown us. Delta Force has been a labor of love for us, and we're encouraged beyond words to see our vision embraced by all types of players, whether they are DF veterans or series newcomers.

But all good things must come to an end, and so we'll be wrapping up the PC Alpha test on September 8. This is just a temporary goodbye - our paths will cross again very soon. In the meantime, we plan to go out with a bang, and we've scheduled 10 days of celebration that includes events, rewards, and Alpha test access

:( One of the best Alpha's i've played for awhile

Hello Operators,

First of all, we want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for the incredible support and dedication you have shown for Delta Force. From the moment the Alpha test kicked off until now, your enthusiasm and encouragement has filled our team with pride.

Every bullet fired, every teammate healed, every hard-fought victory and every last-second extraction—you ARE Delta Force, and we salute you!

Check out these stats:
- Since August 6th you have accumulated over 6.8 million hours of game time.
- In Havoc Warfare, a total of 86,432 helicopters were shot down, and 381,177 tanks were destroyed.
- In Hazard Operations, 753 Hearts of Africa were found, 1.64 million bird nests were searched, and 190,000 MandelBricks were decoded.

This is just the tip of the iceberg - stay tuned to our social channels for lots more fun statistics.

Perhaps more importantly, we have received over 5,000 pieces of valuable feedback across our various community channels. Our next step is to carefully review and analyze this feedback to ensure that we are listening to what our players want, and giving them the Delta Force experience they deserve. Game development is a journey, and with you all by our side riding shotgun, providing suggestions and letting us know when we take a wrong-turn, we know that we can reach our destination together.

We will close the PC Alpha test servers on September 8, 2024 at 8:00 (UTC+0), but you won’t need to wait long to get back into the action. Delta Force will feature at Steam’s Next Fest in October, just a month away.

Once again, thanks to every single Operator for your support. See you soon!

Delta Force Team

I've somewhat enjoyed this so far, although playing solo squad fill is brutal at times. I generally have done OK but tend to get grouped up with complete spuds.
Voice comms and a good squad is vital.....haven't even ventured into Space City as I just expect to get wiped there filling in squads.
