Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Still having crashing problems :( Would love to join in some of the group stuff now I have three characters up to 275ish but when I don't know if the game is going to crash after 5 hours or 5 minutes it's a bit of a pain!

Things I did, that seemed to help.
  • Set both battlenet and destiny 2 to run as administrator.
  • Set battlenet to close when a game launches.
  • Backed off my GPU overclock, its been fine in all games but just to be sure I knocked it down a bit.
  • Made sure my memory was ultra stable, like a 4000% HCI memtest with no errors.
Since doing all that I have been pretty stable.
 
Yeah I've set my CPU to stock and underclocked the GPUs (SLI) which seemed to do the trick for a while, but not completely. Might try a memtest and see if that picks anything up!

Thank you so much for suggesting this! I've run other memory test tools before and not seen any issues, but this one started throwing errors almost straight away. Backed off the memory timings slightly and the errors went away, and (touch wood) I managed 3 hours of Destiny without a single crash :D

Worth leaving the memtest thing running overnight to do a massive test just to be sure. Generally want to test about 95% of your free memory with 1 instance of memtest per thread of your CPU.

So in my case I run 16(ryzen 1700X) instances of 850 MB each.
 
Wow they werent lying about lack of endgame, this thing is worse than the division for lack of endgame.
I enjoyed the game for 2 weeks now theres nothing to do.

Have you hit max light and done all prestige, challenge modes and the raid?

Division has a lot of endgame now also. Depends what you consider end game I guess..

Yes all done , its just a snoozefest now, shame as i really enjoyed it up to this point.
Done todays milestones after reset and now its a waiting game until next weeks milestone reset zzzzzzzz,

Already? Surely though there is still stuff you can do, it just isn't a milestone (I'm thinking repeated lost sectors, patrols, Ikora's missions) or how about sherpa'ing some of the clan guys through the Nightfall strike and weekly raid?

Have you done everything on 3 different characters? Kinda not enough content for 1 char but if you do it on 3 then it all adds up really fast.
 
tbh who cares if someone burns through all content quickly? It does need more, it's been said before release by the devs, it's been said by ps4 users, its been said by pc users - it's not a shocking revelation.

It has, in my opinion, justified it's price, the DLC will drop soon which will add more, go do other stuff while waiting for it.
