Destiny 2... It's a coming!

have ground to a halt at 500 with my Hunter and warlock, have spent 2 days doing all the highest bits i can do and have struggled to 515 on my warlock. Dont know if its because i only got the game when it was free but i have hardly any exotics probably going to rely on Xur to get the ones i missing.
Been playing through the quest to get the ace of spades...man its hard to get head shot kills with a crappy hand cannon when everyone else is playing normally, the Crucible is such a bad format.

500 is where it gets a little grindy, once you're 530ish you can start doing some of the bigger milestones like Nightfall and Dreaming City. Jump in the Discord and people will be around to help out. Bit of a vicious cycle to get Ace, you need a good hand cannon and also have to fight everyone else using Ace. Well worth the grind, one of the best Crucible primaries in the game. Crucible is definitely tough at the start, lots of OHK combos i.e. shotguns.

Re exotics, that is a problem for everyone not just you! Drop rates are very low!

I just completed the Ace of Spades quest line. Queue for Rumble Sayso. It's just free for all. Everyone killing everyone. Some of the other game modes are really not best suited to using a bad hand cannon. Saying that, I played some more comp after unlocking the Ace of Spades and the gun is a beast. Especially after grinding on a subpar handcannon to get there :)

It wont give gear over 380 so for a power level point of view its pointless.

However it can drop a weapon called the "Midnight Coup" which is a 150RPM hand cannon with outlaw, rampage - arguably one of the best weapons in the game even though its Year 1. There is also a raid vendor which has a rotating stock and you can buy the Coup from it when it is on rotation.

Second to that, there is another weapon called inaugural address which is a outlaw, kill clip pulse rifle - amazing in PVP.

Lastly - there is a high chance of exotics from either the raid chests, or the encounters - and there is a shell that you can get that gives a 50% increased chance to get an exotic you don't already have. THis only counts for Y1 exotics, but they can now drop with Y2 perks and then you could infuse them up to higher power level as you climb.

TLDR: For power level no, for some specific raid gear, Y1 exotics with good perks and the fact it is a fun raid(along with the lairs) - Yes
 
Such a good game, got lost tonight on Mars completing all the quests i blasted through on the way to 50, didnt even touch the high level PVE and got myself 4 new exotics, the game loop reminds me of Diablo, im lucky im only 2 weeks in because once the drops become to grindy i will stop.

Yea I jumped in during the base game becoming free. Smashed through the content. Then you hit level 500 and it grinds to a near stop. Think i'm at 560 at the moment.
 
How active is the ocuk clan for this? Granted I only play about an hour a night while wifey puts our son to bed but i've pretty much exhausted what I can do solo.
 
I've been wanting to organise a raid group for the original Leviathan raid and I guess we could try the Forsaken one if it goes well. I play with one other guy that I don't think uses these forums. So would need another 4 players. Maybe organise for a Sunday evening?
