Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Destiny 1 in its current state is amazing but it was a bit of a howler at launch. Very barebones with nothing to do and justified its poor reviews. Now it's one of the best games around.

It's very similar to Diablo 3's path, that had a rough start with lots of terrible design decisions but the expansion overhauled it for the better.

Still no goddamn joy getting my beta code registered and no reply from their the support, am not a very impressed bunny so far :(

Will someone be creating an OCUK clan / guild at some point?

Spoke to Amazon this morning;

I have checked and see that, The Destiny 2 Beta for PC begins in late August. Customers who have pre-ordered the game will receive their codes at least 24 hours before the start of the Beta.

That's what the web chat assistant said anyway.

Looks frickin ace on PC, very impressed, controls and movement felt tight.

Dunno how they're gonna balance the raids between versions, so much easier to land headshots!

It's very easy to land headshots on d1 too, the raids were already balanced around the assumption that everyone is a crack shot and landing all critical hits.

I think the balancing between the two will be surprisingly close

Why is every one so hyped for this? I don't recall a Destiny 1.

It looks like the PC Port is going to be pretty spiffing, I watched the video posted earlier in the thread, it looks cracking and natural fit for the PC.

Destiny 1 was not very good at all at release but I am very optimistic this time around.

That said I am not pre-ordering a damn thing until reviews are out.

think the game will be solid at the start.. blizzard wouldn't allow it on there platform (blizzard app) if it wasn't done properly.

Agreed and it's a positive. This will automatically get players buying into the game as they trust the brand. With everything experienced from the first game and all the feedback, I don't see how this could go wrong apart from some shoddy launch with a few server issues and a few glitches that will be ironed out within a few weeks.

I expect server issues on release, at least for a few days, this will be a big seller and millions will try to log in on release.

Bungie have a very good track record of managing Destiny launches on console. A few hiccups earlier on but generally bang on the minute of release everyone can pile in without issues.

Oh I totally agree and I think Bnet is good but the fact remains that both wow and d3 run into issues with new updates, i'd love to be wrong and this isn't putting me off in the slightest but it's better to be realistic/manage expectations!
