Destiny 2... It's a coming!

I think the gist of it is that it's a group of friends/clanmates, who take the last one or two spots from a pool of players who have listed themselves as seeking a guided raid. So you could have 5 friends who will take a randomly chosen player who's signed up for the game.

Destiny's always been very pug-friendly, there are websites dedicated to finding groups for raids, I have used the100.io for years for example. The community is the friendliest of any game around (on par with sunbros in Dark Souls), there's no toxicity at all.

I do love the destiny community. There are a few bad eggs as with every game but most are genuinely helpful and it makes you behave the same

Still hoping for some clarity on "Keys for downloading the PC Beta will be available in late August." as my beta code is just sat as "Redeemed" on Bungie.net, even though it never let me select the PC option.

Be interesting to see if the community holds up in the normally toxic PC environment especially considering it will mostly be a brand new community and not have the established "good" behaviour.

Personally I'm staying playing on PS as I loved the community.

Destiny 2 launch trailer at 7pm UK time today. It'll be on the game's official youtube channel and twitter :)

Nvidia will also make game-ready drivers available for the PC beta just before it begins so keep an eye out for those.

All aboard the hype train!

edit:

I asked Bungie's senior technical artist a question about resolution scaling and he actually responded saying that the game will have a resolution scaling option available!

That basically means you can set the internal rendering resolution separately to the game's actual output, for example you can play the game at 4k but it would render the 3D aspects slightly lower to keep framerates smooth. It's great for those with 4k screens but not quite the hardware for a full-fat 4k experience.

The difference between 4k and the same resolution being reduced by 15% is almost impossible to see but the performance gain is massive. Games like The Division and GTAV uses it and it's enormously effective in keeping performance smooth.

Good news that the PC version is getting some love.

Are amazon sending out beta codes or is it only the battle.net preorders that get early access?
