Bit miffed cd keys ain't giving the beta access
I know it's not allot but it's destiny I need it hahaPreorders just let you in one day earlier, everyone can take part in the beta
You will be finished with the beta in less than a day, there really isn't much in it at all, 1 campaign mission, 1 strike and 2 pvp modes on one map. It's mostly to gauge your hardware needs.
After creating a Blizzard account I can't seem to redeem my beta code, the process just keeps dumping me back to the login screen. I think it's a problem with my bungie.net verification, despite the screen saying I was verified ok. Have emailed Bungie and will see what happens. Anyone else had issues with the pc beta redemption process?
Perhaps you have to redeem it on the battle.net client?
Basically the game resists code being inserted by foreign applications.
Yep. I'm happy with those changes. Anything that stops cheating and I'll be happy! Not long to go now
Am I right in believing that someone made a spreadsheet with usernames on? Shall i pop that in OP?
More beta details this morning, the PC beta will be an updated, later build from the console version with quicker ability recharge times and more frequent power ammo drops. There's also an extra PvP map that's never been shown before.
The anti-cheat is extremely strict and as a consequence blocks visual overlays from third party applications. That means overlays such as fraps, msi afterburner, discord and mumble will not display. Programs in the background will still work (for example msi afterburner's graphs and voice audio from discord) but you just can't add extra visuals and text over the game.

Even though you can't see it during gameplay anymore, it won't affect logging at all. So you can record logs or alt-tab out to see the graphs in afterburner.
Censoring is the wrong word to use. It's punchy and it's dramatic and it makes for a good conversation - but it's not censorship. There is no deliberate act of hiding or withholding information. After years of PC gamers moaning about rampant cheating, this (the prevention of third party injection of code/scripts) is what may be necessary to stop it in any significant manner.
