Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Typically greater frequency on content requires more money. A large part of this game is copy paste good/bad various on different opinions, that said the fact they have done it this way and still charged another £45 plus then DLCS which will be coming like D1 is just a way of raking in more money. When playing the beta it didnt feel any different, D1 was great and i sunk so many hours in to it. But if its too similar it will become stale and feel like im playing the exact same game.

Also lets not forget Bungie said D1 had a lifespan of 10 years.

No, the contract was Activision publishing support on the Destiny franchise over 10 years.

Every sequel brings back some of the same guns, people are just looking for dumb stuff to cry about now. 'Lazy Bungie' is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, especially coming from people who just ran the game effortlessly on their grandma's toaster from 1989.

I've caved and i'm getting it on my PS4 Pro aswel as my PC. Just purchased the digital deluxe edition for £45 going half's with my mate irl.

It's cool though cause i'll get to experience it again on my PC at ultrawide 100fps. Really wish the PC came at the same time.

Oh well, pre load is already done!

This game worth it? Missed beta.
I enjoyed it, but what was in the beta was apparently very cut back compared to what the real game will be like. Didn't like PVP at all but then I've never been a huge PVP player in any game that also has PVE content. I liked it enough to not cancel my standard edition pre-order.

Yeh im in a similar boat. Dont mind PVP, but prefer PVE content. Never played the first since it was not on PC, so im fairly interested in giving this a shot.

lol someone who says d1 was great, but then proceeds to nitpick that it might be too similar while in the same breath moaning about it not being a 10 year game.

You expect them to release something totally different and full of content while tied to the same universe for a single purchase?

This is what it is, if you played the first it's more of the same but improved - only you can decide if that's worth your time/money or not.

As knives said, it seems like some people are just trying to find dumb stuff to moan about.

Here's a tip, the game comes out in a week, let the console players provide reviews then make a more informed decision. Yey go for common sense!

Don't forget the Destiny 1 beta gave too much away. It was like the whole first planet if I remember correctly. Expected more of earth when it released but it was exactly what we played in the beta. So it's much better for them to hold back this time round imo, the demo we got provided just enough for me to know how it feels and plays on PC and has me excited, will just see how it reviews on console and go from there.

Question, did anyone try to play this game beta with the latest nvidia drivers with 2x 1080ti sli cards

god dam the games performance was shocking droping frequently from 80 average to 40s ect and stuttering....... something weird going on lol

Very well, your system could run it at 4k60 on high settings should you get it. You just missed the open beta unfortunately.
The PC version has been designed especially for PC gamers, including mouse keyboard gameplay without any jank whatsoever (no acceleration, hardware cursor support, etc) that is common on games coming over from consoles. It has support for virtually every PC-centric desire such as ultra-widescreen resolutions, multi-monitor setups, uncapped framerates, adjustable field of view, supersampling, the list goes on and on.
If you liked loot games and shooters, this will be right up your alley.

Thanks for the feedback, I had Destiny on PS4 and was very tempted to get it on console again but I think games like this are best played on PC.

Next question for the group, if you pre-order on Blizzard does it deduct full amount today or when game becomes available?

Really consiudering selling my Asus Rog Swift and getting the Asus Rog ultrawide screen seeing as this game supports 21:9

Only thing I'm not sure how well my 980Ti woulld cope at 3440x1440

After playing the BETA on my 980ti on my Asus ROG Ultrawide i can tell you that it avg's around 70FPS at high settings.

Noooooo! That's not the news I wanted to hear.

What you mean to tell me is that it runs like crap at a stable 5fps on low settings

If it helps at all my 1070 handles it fine @ 3440x1440 and they're basically the same performance, I'm only on a clocked 2500k too.

Where you all bought from?
I purchased mine from Game personally i usually go through b.net but they made a **** up on my big order. So they gave me £30 in reward card credit so i got my self the limited edition when it was available with the Cayde 6 figure.

Now i have a spare code from purchasing my brother his 1080ti that i'll give my brother as a Xmas present :P
