Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Welp, it's downloading. I had no issues with region. Ordered direct from Blizzard as the price difference from key sites was negligible and wanted an easy return policy if I had issues. Bought in $ from the American store on my EU account. Can indeed select Americas or Europe servers to play on.

Oooooooooo, so pretty!

So, intro done. At the 'main area' I guess. Just alt tabbed out to update.

My specs:
i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz
16GB
980ti
1440p @ 60hz

Easily pushing up to and past 100fps with everything max. I've turned depth of field down to high from highest as no visual impact and it was costing around 20-30fps!!!!

My question is, FXAA or SMAA? Neither seem to differ much in performance, but I feel FXAA gives a better look as distant jaggies are just the same as SMAA but up close they are softer and less sharp than SMAA.

Other than that, loving it. Playing a Warlock. Time to get stuck in :D

Still loving the game, but missing the feel of the rumble when I shoot on my PS4 pad. And the sound setup on my PC lacks the omph of my sound base on the TV. And the most annoying thing of all....is that Warlocks just can’t jump :).

Still a bit too pricey for a game I probably will get bored of fairly quickly.

It does look like it will be good fun while it lasts though.

Probably wait for it to be under £30.
You might be waiting a while Activision games generally don't get huge discounts, especially if they're on battle. Net

Warlock jump is pants, agreed lol.

As for the sound, I too am an audiophile but using my HD 650's with the Asus Xonar STX is just fantastic. I've tried with the Xbone wireless pad on the PC and it works really well!

none of it compares to increased fov, mouse keyboard support, better gfxs, better resolution (3440x1440p) and decent headphones/amp beats speakers anyday!

Don’t do headphones, so may have to invest in a decent set of speakers. And your right mouse/kB over pad anytime, but I’ve played Destiny way to much on console going to take a while to get used to PC version.

Yeah, way to expensive for me. I'd be surprised if I got 100 hours out of it, so needs to be a lot cheaper (~£10) before I think I'd likely get value for money from it.

Well, managed to get to 20 and be equipped so fare in 210-220 across all pieces and my god im bored. The game feels so shallow its unbelievable. The mission designs(my biggest issue with this game) are so mundane and many areas are reused for several missions which would be fine if you were allowed to pick up more than one mission at a time but your not.. BUUH.. The gunplay that everyone is waiving their hands up in the air about is okay but the gun models could use some detail and most have a extremely bare bones look. The few good things i've noticed is that aim assist on keyboard/mouse seems gone vs beta or at least reduced to such a low amount that i personally don't notice it. Interface is better than what we usually get from console ports and enemies are less terrible than what has been shown by youtubers before pc release but still not that great. Just my 2 cents, feel free to agree/disagree :).

Thankfully I will be dividing my gaming time over the coming weeks between Destiny 2, Assassins Creed Origins, Wolfenstein Colossus and the combined campaign for Total Warhammer, so I'm trusting that situation will give me extended longevity for Destiny 2
