I have to agree with Zoomee and say no chance. Apparently you have quit raids and strikes without warning lots of times before. When we are playing as a team that is not cool. We waited, and waited for you to rejoin on Tuesday. The embarrassing thing is it was me saying just give him a few more minutes. I for one won't be playing with you again, sorry.

@zoomee/Sieze2 - I always recommend making your fireteam invite only as it stops undesirables without worry! Always awkward to kick people if they join...

Yeah you are definately right on the getting a rhythm part. I was watching some of NextGenTactics attempt at this part last night and they have the rythm down just right. They almost wiped though so even with an experienced team success isn't guaranteed. If you end up with more than two gatekeepers alive (technically one person with the sword could take out two as long as one is under half health) it would be quicker just to wipe.
EDIT: I quickly ran the raid on both my main Warlock (I am running Bluey with the checkpoint) and Hunter. Dropped in and legged it for the first chest. Only got radiant materials but that is enough. You don't have to be level 30 to start the raid (my hunter was only 28... that was fun!
) and you can do this bit solo. When you drop down head diagonally left until you hit a wall. Hug the wall until you find a doorway (there is more than one). The doorway with an orange light on it (above it) will have the chest inside. Be aware if you take too long you will die to the thralls that constantly spawn. If you do die just repeat until you get to the chest.
I would suggest anyone who has more than one character do this especially if you are only running the raid proper on one (more than likely this week at least). You will get the extra few radiant materials before the reset this way.

How far did you guys get? I was kicked from orbit at least 15 times last night. I thought it was a problem with destiny but when I tried using WiFi on my phone that wasn't working properly either. On the plus side I should be level 31 last night as I just plodded on with some bounties.

so just shakenbake for reserveStarted at a bridge CP yesterday and surprisingly managed to get to Crota after about an hour. Picked up some nice loot along the way!
Now to power to 31.
Crota's oversoul is alarmingly beautiful. Pity you don't have time to stand around and watch it.

I'll be on at least an hour before so if anyone does want to get the crota's freebie chest with their alts just join up anytime before 1845, happy to take people down with my 30 as well.As long as Xur gives either a Skull of Dire Ahamkara upgrade, or a new upgraded exotic helm, I'll have everything I need for 31. You can guarantee it'll be sunbreakers or voidfang though. Wouldn't mind switching to voidfang actually as the new vanguard chest is horrible.

You don't need 30 to start the raid? Nice, then yeah everyone just head down, it takes literally 2 minutes. That chest drops new exotics as well.
did it 3 times and got 4 shards and 2 energies i can already see the pattern passing over from the VoG to CE
the RNG hates meon a side not does this really work for the first section of the new raid ???
1.All you Hunters out there, equip the BladeDancer subclass, make sure you have fleet footed on. Next, if you have the MIDA-Multi Tool equip it and grant yourself +2 agility.
2.Now that you have the extra boost, run the whole path by yourself, make sure no Fireteam members follow you or Agro the thralls, you need all of them to follow you all the way to the bridge.
Tips:
-I find circling the lights about 2-3 times works well.
-Throw Arcobolt grenades at your feet while you're on the move.
Outcome
This guarantees the survival of your Fireteam.
Drawback
It's a long walk for your Fireteam, and plus they have a mob of hives waiting for them at the bridge, if you have a titan he can easily wipe them out with his fist of havoc.

To clarify you don't need to be level 30 to start the raid solo. IIRC You DO have to be level 30+ to lead a fireteam though.
Does that mean I can roll a level 1 alt and jump in there?

No but you could possibly get away with a level 27 (good luck surviving the Thralls though...)
The normal -4 level and you can't do any damage / enter mission rule still applies.

Oh that would be interesting to try. I assume the game would say the level 1 in unable to join the fireteam.
It would be funny if possible though. A bus of level 1's lead by a level 30...
There's a min cap for the raid as normal - under level 27 and it just won't let you start it

Not to spoil it but we think we are at the final boss - but it feels like beating him will need us to be level 31. Everything else up until that point feels 'easy' compared...
