I'm getting a bit sick of it all already lol. Murmur weapon requires a rune stone which will take bout 2 weeks minimum to level up to at this rate. No point leveling up exotics until we either get an upgrade or it gets dropped.

I cba buying Vanguard Level 33 gear when it could potentially drop during the raid too - but this makes the raid VERY difficult with only a Level 30 character.

All to have it thrown in our faces when the next DLC lands - meh

Why wouldn't it? The fact that VoG becomes almost pointless to people who have bought DLC is a reason not to buy it. It would mean people who bought the DLC would still have reason to play VoG and people who haven't bought the DLC it doesn't really matter if they get to level 31 or 32 as no advantage really for them doing so.

Alternatively his internet isn't very stable meaning he very likely has been disconnected without warning before.

How have you judged this is being due to him rage quitting and deliberately leaving you and not just poor internet ? I don't see how you can form that opinion in any legitimate way personally.

Not unless his leaving is preceded with lots of profanity and falling out.

You have to get the Vanguard armour to get a chance to be level 31 as the raid armour radiant shard requirement is too high (21 shards you can only get from raids - raid armour hits +27 light before you need these shards :(). Yes you could convert energies but thats an Erin level 4 perk.

Im going for:
New Exotic Helm/Chest
Old Raid Helm/Chest
New Vanguard Gloves+Boots

That is how I feel right now. I would struggle explaining the currencies of the base game to friends but now I'm feeling 10x more lost with these shard, levels, Vanguard level ups and everything @.@ I know it is very similar to the base game but it just all seems so pointless now it does actually seem like Bungie are purposely trying to slow down progression as much as possible which isn't that big of a deal. There is no gameplay design to support longer progression there just isn't enough content or variety.

I think I'll still have fun in the Raid and such but I have zero goals I want to accomplish in Destiny now where as before I would want to chase the random loot drops or level up my gun while completing tasks to gain more loot. Where as now I'm demoralised enough by learning all my gear is junk and that even finding new gear is going to be a royal pita to actually level up is just even more demoralising :(

It just make me super sad as there is soooooooo much potential in Destiny but is bogged down by all this bogus game design. To me it kind of feels like 20% of Bungie dev team is working on these DLC packs and the rest are working on Destiny 2 or a larger DLC pack due out the end of next year (one would hope) with 70% of that 20% being made up of designers and community feedback staff. Saying that I bet all the changes made up to this date are mostly what were planned before the game release we have all seen that the content in the DLC was nearly all on the disk baring maybe the Raid and MP maps plus a little bit of polish. The lack of new cutscenes and story in this pack considering all the information coming for the community manger is "we heard you, DLC pack one is focused on delivering a strong narrative experience".

Out of all due respect bud, you weren't there - its not something I would say without being 100% on. We already had Maxi_Live waiting to join us when he just jumped in, but we rolled with it out of courtesy.

We were wiping a fair few times during the first part of the raid -so I can understand if there was some rage quitting involved IF that was the case.

Reason I say it was otherwise is due to the fact I was spectating him at the time - He walked to a corner of the map away from everything and everyone else (we were all in the middle of a battle) - left the party chat, then the fireteam.

I'm sure a man of his means has a smartphone - even if his internet had gone down, PSN app and a message to anyone of us out of courtesy would have been more than enough to do - but no - nothing. Instead we stood around waiting for 15 minutes with Sieze2 actually insisting he was disconnected in all fairness.

Whilst a one off thing like this wouldnt phase me, this isn't the first time I've played a strike with him, and he's left without a word or anything.

We all get disconnected fair enough - but to not have the courtesy to let 5 other people waiting on you know, well I don't think that's fair at all.

btw - Calling people 'idiots' on psn isn't going to help the matter either. I've got better things to do with my time than waste it with childish banter. This is my last post on the matter - I consider it resolved as I've already removed him from my friends list and future raid's will be set to private fireteam only.

No hard feelings - its only a game, but as adults I would expect some level of courtesy to 5 people waiting on you - its why we use this forum to get together, and not just pickup randoms.

This - With just one character I had to run the previous raid LOADS to get to Level 30. All that gear is now gone to waste, just on the off chance I might get a decent drop in the raid with the risk of having to lose another piece of armour I've just spent points on purchasing and levelling up. If there was more structure to the game then it would have kept me interested - its just a bit all over the place now, and feels like I'm just having to start going through the same thing again tbh.

The community is all that keeps me going - once thats gone, so is this game.

You and I can see it that way but I'm sure these corporation fat cats love the pay to progress model.

This is the same game which appears to have been stripped back for paid DLC.

+1, Vanguard armor is by far the easiest and fastest way to hit lvl 31, you need a ridiculous amount of shards to get raid armor to 33 light, let alone 36 light.

It's frickin stupid imo that the new raid gear is locked at 27 light until you have 7x radiant shards. They need to change that imo.
