There are 2 spots you can stand on at the Deathsinger part where the knights can't hit you so you can concentrate on the witch. You sill have to clear out the left and right witches and screechers though, hard as a duo but possible.
Might as well start planning the Tuesday night CE run for when it resets.
XB1 CE Raid. Tuesday 20:00pm start. Ideally looking to do this legitimately and avoid cheese.

I'll have to miss out this Tuesday. The gf wants to take me swing dancing! 
If there's more Crota happening on Wednesday night, I'd be up for that. Also, I still have the Oracle CP for VoG hard if anyone fancies doing that tomorrow.

The bridge cheese is pretty ridiculous. Jump up on the ledge in the back room and all the mobs despawn on the start side of the bridge (except the Swordbearer, but you can just ignore him) and everything starts spawning on the other side. Clear them out, including the Ogres, and it's all done. The bridge even forms so you can walk across!

Its just the logic.
It starts the process when everybody on the starting side of the bridge is dead. Very first day of the raid we did it with 5 people across and one person left behind. Other person who was left behind died and it started the process.
They were sloppy however, and didn't program in the logic for it to check if anybody had actually successfully crossed, only that there was nobody left. Hence when a warlock does his self revive, he can revive after it starts the process, go round and revive everybody and mop up. The idea behind the bridge forming was so that anybody who dies and gets revived on completion can then walk across.
They just weren't thinking defensively when they wrote in the mechanics of the raid. Surprised they haven't learnt after the templar / atheon cheeses on VOG tbh.

So much cheese. Wallace and Gromit would love this raid.
Killed Crota with the group, then duo'd it from the start with Thor up to the Deathsinger in about 25mins (we wiped a few times). We only tried the duo for a laugh
Black Hammer and 2 bits of armour for the night. Makes up for the lack of VoG drops lately!
I two manned it up to Crota on Friday night.
So long as you have solar primaries for the deathsinger fight and a tracking rocket launcher it's not that hard.
The fact that you don't need any other players to grab the most important parts of the loot (chest boots gloves) is a bit absurd though I think.
You don't even need to spend any time with LFG, just start the raid up and ten minutes later you are done.
Wait so you don't even need to self revive?
Hopefully I will get some more drops this weeks to hit level 32. I kept getting energy last week which was a pain when I really wanted shards.
Nope, no self revive needed. Even a lowly Hunter can do it! There's a ledge at the back of the back room (where Swordbearer comes out of). Jump up on it, wait about 10 seconds and all the mobs will vanish. The mobs then come out on the other side, so just start picking them off until the Ogres arrive.

Indeed, this method is a new one on me. I have used the self revive method a few times but will try this one on the reset.
That method works fine, did it on my hunter. I'll be cheesing CE, and do the crota kills later in the week. In the meantime...some proper raidingWant dem fatebringer/vex

I havn't done a hard mode VoG so could you put me down as a reserve (let someone else who has done it take my place).
I can be a level 31 Warlock or 31 Hunter.
Go for it, double drops ftw. Differences :
1) No revives
2) On confluxes, all jump into the spirit bloom cave on legions and wait it out
3) Oracles is easy to snipe from the top if you've got enough ice breakers/VoC
4) Templar is just same as normal, just gotta be sharper staying alive and have good DPS (Gjalla etc)
5) I think there's an extra gorgon that doesn't move
6) Gatekeepers same
7) Atheon will pop a containment field on the guys not teleported, same as templar ones. Gotta be a little sharper about clearing harpies as it's not much fun if you get one inside your containment field.
8) Atheon has extra glitches for giggles, but he still goes down in 2 teleports, easiest part imo.
Warlock self-res is awesome on HM.

Ah go on then, put me down for a spot.
I will run my Warlock with self revive.
I have a fully upgraded 331 attack Ice breaker and should hopefully have my Dragons Breath up to 331 attack before the reset. Sadly I don't have Jelly horn (being in a fireteam where one of the members gets its TWICE back to back in NF's was painful....) but I do have fully upgraded primaries and over 300 attack secondaries / heavies.
Also checking if Piphal is available as he has a WP ready Gjalla. Will be a level 31 Titan. Could you put him down as running please?

Already looking good, more warlocks = easy peasy. Having titan pop WoL at back of atheon platform is v handy too.
Last time I cleared Atheon I got 2x Vision of Confluence, Timebreaker, Raid Helmet and chatterwhite :|

Updated the time. Wouldn't worry too much about getting another warlock, titan is useful. A few warlocks just gives you a bit of leeway for mistakes. Main thing is just stay alive....even if it means missing a DPS opportunity or whatever, there's not a lot of time pressure in VoG.
