*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Well that's easy then, I'm sticking to VoG hard mode until House of Wolves drops :) Shame I am only 21 radiant shards from 32 on my main, have 5 radiant energy and I can shard my hunter gauntlets though so should be able to do it in a couple of weeks of chest #1 with alts once I get eris to rank 4.

My Hunter still needs to do CE and the weeklies. Anyone around tonight/over the weekend? (XB1)
I'll be around tonight and tomorrow night. Around tomorrow afternoon as well but planning on doing Crucible to complete my 3 exotic bounties.

Looks like I've got a window from 8:30pm this evening. I have the speedrun chest (after bridge) checkpoint on two chars if anyone wants to run them....

Are you saying you don't want to run Crota now that they're fixing the cheesy bits?

I'm level 16 and am really enjoying this, but miss a "pause" button for single player, the nature of the game makes it impossible like.

Does it get better? Is there a tutorial of sorts for RAIDS? I'm playing control and stuff multiplayer, which is easily on par with Titanfall, in fact I enjoy it more.

The core of the game starts at level 20. You will need to run strikes/public events for a while to get geared up enough to do raids. Once you get to level 26 some friendly OCUKers can show you the way through the first raid (Vault of Glass).

Best place to try first is Youtube for Vault of Glass & Crota's end walkthroughs. Make sure they don't include things like Atheon / Templar cheeses though as these are no longer possible.

There are also loads of guides online for most aspects of Destiny.

Tonight OK then? Happy to move it to tomorrow/Sunday if it's more suitable. (I'm assuming everyone who replied to my post wants to do CE :D)

(XB1) Crota's End: 09/01/15 - 8:00pm

1. Ehhh Mazin - 31 Hunter
2. Dr Pharmacology
3. ExcludedWardyp
4. thoseion
5.
6.

Hopefully I can get the Nightfall & Weekly done just before :)

Clear and concise, many thanks.

I hate reading guides! Wish games these days were geared towards newbies for things like RAIDS etc.Control for example, you simply have to click launch and it tells you what you need to do.

I'll checkout the youtube videos when I hit 24ish, or maybe 20. Got some cool gear for level 20, need to do more public events to speed up my leveling.

How do you know if an event is starting in advance? I triggered, I think, an event last night but it was just me there, and it was a hard story mission to start with!

Thanks for the info

I'm game.

There are various websites with timers for public events. Just search for "Destiny public events" and you should find a few. They're really invaluable and means you don't have to rely on good timing for one to appear when you're on patrol.
