*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

got 3 chars to do now and I really need an exotic warlock helm...
I've somehow acquired 2: Obsidian Mind and Apotheosis Veil. I don't even have a Warlock!
I'll probably start one up soon though because I really like the sound of the Obsidian Mind and Bad Juju combo!

Hmmm arc burn, so fatebringer, murmur/P&T and Steel Oracle for me I think.

I have added you just now. :)

Should be a fun raid. Jumping puzzle should be fun for me on a hunter (anyone seen me jumping it on a warlock knows what I am talking about...:D)

Jump, Jump, Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Splat! :D

Really tempted to bring my hunter, something different for VoG and level 29 a normal run should be easy enough but the jumping puzzle scares me as a hunter haha.

I also see what you were talking about with the Hunters don't touch me gauntlets. Can pretty much walk through the lamps without worrying about anything, though found out earlier that you can crouch to go invisible while invisible from a melee attack :D

I'm the exact opposite with regards to the jumping puzzle - it's very easy with a Hunter, especially with triple jump, but I have no idea how to even attempt it with my Titan!

For the lamps section, the Hunter can go invisible when meleeing an enemy, being melee'd, crouching, and using super. It's actually far easier to solo it as a Hunter than it is to do it as part of a group!

I find the easiest way is to make a right when you get to the puzzle, and drop down to the lower level then run and jump out, then activate your jump to just gracefully float across. Use the increased control option on your jump.

I'll be online from 18:00, so happy to do Nightfall / Weekly before the 20:00 run.

Maybe tempting fate but if we get it done reasonably quickly does anyone want to go through it again with alt characters?

Yup, I think once you are used to a character it is pretty easy but doing it with a strange character is daunting. Having only ever been a warlock a hunter is scary! I have only levelled up my blade dancer so only have double jump so could this be interesting as most people seem to do it a triple jump.

It is tbh OP that a hunter can be invisible almost the entire run of the lamps but I love it. Last night I was relying on them meleeing me to go invisible, only time I had to melee to trigger blink was when I got trapped by about eleventy million thrawl. Even more fun when I realised that a knights sword hit counts as a melee so go invisible then too :D Assuming Bungie don't change things then seems an invisible hunter will (almost) always make it across the bridge.

That's how I do it with the Warlock. Jump down to the right....wait for the last platform to appear, hop across. The platform colliders stay a second or two after the models have disappeared so it's pretty easy.

Yup. Extra points when you get to see me ragdoll directly in front of you :D

The hunter gauntlets are epic for those times where being melee'd might leave you either stuck or near death. I will probably run with an exotic helmet to keep my Radar active.

My hunter has fully upgraded sub classes so I will probably run Gunslinger (seems more useful for the most part).

I'll be around about 6 this eveining for a Nightfall if anybody is about. Time to break out P&T amongst others. Might rock The Swarm and Ruin Wings...machine gun as primary.

Need 1 for Crota's End at approx 8 tonight. We have two 32's so it should be a doddle. Anyone interested?

1) Me (Moon-EU-) - 32 Hunter
2) SiR0_v2 - 32 Warlock
3) TowerZ_UK - 31 Hunter
4) TL_Venom - 32 Hunter
5) apostoliskt - 31 Warlock
6)

PS4

Edit: Updated with TL_Venom and apostoliskt.
