What level is your character? I think the guys will probably be doing the hard raids so worth getting to at least level 31 otherwise you will barely be able to hurt anything during Crota and may spoil your enjoyment as you will basically be dead all the time;)
quite a few ways to pick up some armour pieces now if needed.

who is doing the streaming? as in who will be playing the game?

is it one of those elite raid teams or bungie staff?

i would really like to see how bungie employees tackle raids rather than elite players who can complete raids 10 times faster than anyone else.
 
Ah actually, it's just the new strike on the Dreadnaught, I guess they're keeping the raid under-wraps completely.

19th Aug = Destiny Year 2 (levelling, light etc)
26th Aug = Strike The Dreadnaught (strike)
2nd Sep = Court Of Oryx (dreadnaught patrol)

I have high hopes as well. I want something more akin to VoG where proper teamwork is actually required. Hopefully without a "everything is one level higher than you" HM as well..

Teamwork could be said to be required in CE until you realise one of your fireteam has already gone across the bridge solo and killed both Ogres...
 
"Biggest yet" is about all we know, which is promising for a start as VoG is pretty massive, and some talk about problem solving and possibly platforming sections I heard somewhere. Main thing I hope is that it involves movement and gunplay from all team members, all the time.

I would be interested to see how they playtested CE....I bet they didn't have 5 people standing on a ledge pressing fire a couple of times.

Hahaha, that entire section was just a disaster everything else was fairly smooth. Except for Corey's bright idea to kill both Knights during Crota 'Okay guys I killed the Knights come on out! ... why is there a Wizard coming?'

Well I might leave it if the guys are doing hard. I'm level 30 right now and since I've never done them before wouldn't wanna hold them back.

Wouldn't worry too much about it, I'm a level 34 hunter...squidgy and I'm always dying whether it be through my fault ie roguicide or whether I get nailed by something.

Just join and enjoy even if you die a few hundred times lol, we always manage to have a laugh about it and no one takes it that seriously.

If anything first time I did these raids, this lot carried me through till I got to 34 which does make it easier. Just make sure you have a rocket launcher that has tracking as that helps at end of crota and for VoG as well but machine guns and a decent sniper rifle helps.

Chaps, is anyone going for anything specific in Crota HM? If not how about we run normal for X-Morgan to grab some raid armour? Would also give some a chance at Black Hammer, HoC etc.

30 would be OK for HM VoG, you may have to be a little cautious on the confluxes but other than that we should be able to take you through no probs.

The only thing I haven't got is Black Hammer and that's a Normal mode drop anyway. Happy to do Crota NM :)

I'm heading home now and will try a Nightfall before hand, so will be online asap

Looking at your stats on destinytracker you've got 170 odd VG marks, a 36 light chest piece from the Hunter VG is only 75 so grab that and you'll be 31 easily. Unless you're saving your marks for anything that is! :D
 
Right I've just popped out for something to eat with the missus so hopefully be home in time for the raids. If not I maybe about 830ish, done all my bounties so just need to run a nf if anyone wants to do one before the raids??

I'm also happy to do Crota normal, I have my fang so happy with that. Wouldn't mind the black hammer elusive as it is.

Errr what perks should I have selected on Thorn? I was just looking and I've been using accurized ballistics but it seems like aggressive is a better choice? Have I been gimping my OP gun this whole time?
