*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Ok I am raging right now.

Mrs and I have to go to Bath RUH again as apparently we are the only ones who can do anything....

I am not sure who I am annoyed at more - Oryx or my Mother in Law...

Davey - Would you be able to fill my spot with your friend?

I should be available later on in the week - Mid_Gen did you want to try and get a party together?
 
I might be around Thursday evening...will let you know. Did KF up to deathsingers on my deathbed this afternoon....but should be able to get my hunter to 290 in time for Thursday...

That sucks mate. I'll see if I can grab a 6th before 7pm.
 
Seems none of my usual guys are available at 7 so we'll have a spot free then. We can easily get up to the Warpriest with 5 if we can't get a 6th straight away.

I'm just about to eat some food then I'll be on.

I ended up playing 20 matches of control with a couple of you guys after we stopped the raid on Sunday. We only lost two matches (no stat whore), was some amusing double team shotgun/sword running. Always up for crucible with people from OCUK.

LOL oh dear, cant imagine how the raid will go with psycho playing..maybe his usual group have had enough of his boasting:p

I know we have a raid on tonight but if you want I can join in on Fri's raid...im a complete noob as in i havent done the first part...i was invited by a bunch of randoms on the weekend and the bits i have done is the one before the war priest and the war priest himself although we never got him down.

I remember you helping me out with the moments of triumph before TTK, we went on a crazy 10 game winning spree which helped me nail that last moment...was good fun and i know you love your control matches lol.

Good run in the raid tonight, thanks for helping me through my first run through it.

Aye indeed! Got a bit hairy for a while on the big fella but perseverance paid off. 5 hours - not awful but I think we can cut it down to 3 fairly easily.
 
big thanks to those who explained the tactics to me.

I felt i was holding you guys back at times it was only my 2nd raid in destiny my last being last week. I felt my damage was poo too :s i was using hand cannons which i dont think is best for pve you seem to run out of ammo fast.

The 2nd to last boss i felt i did bad until we tried it a few times and understood it more tend to learn better from doing it and seeing it rather then it being told to me all the time then i can learn fro my mistakes.

But overall it was great fun i just wish it wasn't the end :P I am used to wow raiding where there is 10-15 bosses a night.

But yeah really good group everyone seemed patient and stuff and jumping stuff but what i can tell warlock seems the worse at jumping.

ok so i'm looking to hit the raid soon. what level does damage feel "normal"? 295 ish? I'm sat at 295 now so should be ok?

has anybody still got to do it blind?

Yeah, was such a good raid. We got super unlucky on a couple of Deathsingers and Oryx tries. Would wave been 1 hour less. Thanks all for sticking till midnight and killing Oryx and thanks for explaining Oryx fight, I think we got the strat really fast with at least 2 new players at this point.
