IIRC for our HM run we would only have one hunter (Moe) If I run WL. In that case I am happy to run Moody through HM. I *should* be able to get her to 304/305 if I use my.... erm..... 310 Zhalo Supercell...
I'm 305 on my hunter, if I can get some Raid boots and a better ghost (mines 300) I should hit 307.
Thanks for the advice bud, looks like I've only got 14 on my Hunter anyhoo (who has the most out of the lot).
I've only got to the first bit - got tons of wormspore and parts, but only 5 flakes - think I did do a collection of them for something but they were used up in the quest. I lose track with all these flippin million and one quests.
Got my work cut out tomorrow then - flake farming + 30 odd calcium tablets to find

I feel your pain after spending all day working out which 2 fragments I'd missed, then farming 50 flakes, then having to farm a further 30 flakes. Today has not been a good day! But I have got my ToM now, ha!

So lads how much time do you need to put into a raid. I have a 296 titan and a week off next week and would love to tag along on the raid (when I say tag along I mean dragged through). Been playing for a year and never done a raid yet, not really had the time to invest in it, but I am determined to give it a go.
Can I put my name down early for a raid next week (Tuesday 27th onwards) on the PS4. I have a headset so comms is not a problem and don't mind being told what to do

Keep working on getting your light up slightly while waiting for a raid spot.
But we did it start to finish on my first time in 2.5hrs, had a little struggle with the last two bosses which seemed to eat the time up. Rest of it was plain sailing tbh.
Try to make sure you have a high 290's sniper rifle and a decent heavy.

Happy to introduce you to raiding. Having never done one it would be good to also run through the other two raids just so you get to experience them.

I have a 298 1000yd stare, 299 ruin wake and 297 Ceres lost BMJ-46 if they will help, I seem to have been hovering around 296 for ages, what's the best way to get better drops?
You can get blues to 300. Beyond that you need to use three of coins to get 310 exotics for infusion, or get raid gear.
You should easily do it with your gear. 296 is fine for the raid, but always nice to be slightly higher.
It really is just luck with drops at the high 290's
Raid items will drop at 300+ though. So keep a look out for a run happening, putting your name forward now will get missed normally, so keep an eye on the thread and jump in when you can

Wow, I have had one blue drop at 300 and only ever had 290 exotics drop, I must be really unlucky. I will keep checking in here and pipe up closer to the time. Do you get better drops from the nightfall and heroic strike playlist?

and I think everyone in each group has finished the raid before or at least knows all the mechanics so should be nice and quick.To be honest once you start getting over ~295 it becomes really difficult to progress without raiding as any increase in light will be so small. The higher the better come raid time but 296 is high enough
As OweO above I am happy to run the Kings Fall and the old ones too if you want.Exotics only have a chance to drop at 310 if you are 300 or above when you hand them in to the cryptarch. If you are under then they will continue to drop at 290. There is a gap in the exotics really, it is worth getting an exotic to help you up to 290 but past that there is little point getting exotics until you are 300+

Nightfall is not so much, strike play list is drop heavy, but once again it's luck. Drop a "three of coins" before the boss and pray. I get sick of strikes after 2 or 3 in a row, but I think your luck increases with each one up to 5 or something.

I figured it gets hard above 295 to advance, hence wanting to get involved in raiding. My trouble is I work shifts and the reason I haven't got involved on here before now, but I am off next week and can devote some time to it. Thanks everybody who has said they are willing to drag along a newbie
