4th PuG group I joined yesterday we got spindle 1st try with nearly 3 mins left on the clock & no deaths. It was beautiful after the many failed attempts that came before. Infused it into a 310 telesto and 4th horseman to put it at 310 :)

Correct. Just have one person constantly shooting him with Malice to keep his chest open while the rest detonate the bombs. DPS doesn't matter one bit.
 
Yeah that makes sense. I think last night we were detonating the bombs but then didn't shoot Oryx afterwards. Well hopefully it won't take us 3 evenings to reach Oryx this time.

So you just need the one person doing DPS to keep the chest open? The bomb guys don't need to DPS him at all? Never been an issue but good to know...
 
I honestly don't mind the jumping on hunters. It's easier to use and predict how it'll pan out. Unlike warlocks with their stupid glide trajectory determined by when you tapped X during the first jump.

I assume you haven't got ToM yet? ToM does so much more damage to the deathsingers (I thought they were daughters of Oryx?) and as it is an exotic rules out using spindle.

For speed that you need in the raid I accept Warlocks have the worst jump but in every other aspect Warlock master race. Don't worry though, I don't hold your delusions of thinking the hunter is the master race against you :p
 
For an extra challenge on running the relic at Oryx, use blink ;)

On hunter I use triple jump, titan is controlled, and warlock is focused burst. That's what I've found to be optimal (and I've run it quite a lot of times...).

I really have no idea why people are obsessed with naming them at all. Its literally the simplest mechanic ever. Look where the spark is and it goes anti-clockwise from the next platform round.

You have 4 on the same platforms (or 3 because 4th platform doesn't actually need to be "activated") and 2 floaters to kill adds. If a person on a platform is torn then one of the floaters just mans the one he was on.

Naming them just confuses people when they aren't the same as they are used to.

So you mean you only need 3 people on the platforms so say the orb was front right you only need a guy on back right, back left, front left?

Think we lacked a little bit of communication last night when I look back because we'd never played together. I mean I didn't know people had died until it was too late or didn't know who was torn on the second or third orb run until I saw an empty platform etc. I'm sure that's just cos we'd not met and I was trying to decipher people by voice whereas I knew Cusack and Davie just by their voice. There's no mistaking Davies accent :D

Looking forward to trying it again though, i know the mechanics, I can improve jumping so I don't think I will jump to my death that often in future runs.

Sorting out the naming is important especially for LFG groups, otherwise how do you tell someone which platform was yours not you're torn? From experience of LFG and different groups on here the common naming is simply back/front and left/right.

Correct :) Though the sniper during the deathsingers and ogre during Oryx still spawn for the fourth platform even if no-one stands on it.
 
Hi guys, long time lurker here.

I hope you dont mind me posting in here but we are looking for a guardian around 305 to run with us tonight on HM Kings Fall. Nothing serious just a laugh from folks at AVForums and an attempt to get to the daughters to rank up our alts for Oryx. Starting around 7pm but flexible, we need one more. No squeakies or prima donnas allowed lol. You dont need to be leet but you defo need a sense of humour haha
