No probs dude, was fun to say the least. This time around I wasn't taken as much as I was the other night lol. Took us a few wipes to get the daughters down but once we got into the swing of things...it worked out pretty well.

Oryx fight is probably the easiest bit of the raid really, u would think that they would have made it tougher.

Saying that I have a hard mode raid set up for sat night on 100.io so that will be interesting to say the least.

Anyhow was a good raid last night, had a few good laughs along the way as well which also helps. Glad that we managed to get you through your first raid relatively unscathed:p.

if its ok with you guys can i do up until oryx with my hunter which is 310 then switch to my warlock which can be 311 :) did the hm on my warlock early on with randoms and i ended up getting disconnected from the game for about 20mins till my router settled down by the time i rejoined they had got someone else and had finished it :( *****
 
Yeah no probs...HM is pretty straightforward with everyone 310+

Looking forward to starting this raid at 312.9 light....and finishing it at 312.9 light with a few more entries in my fusion rifle collection...:)

not had a single primary weapon in my normal and hard runs :mad:

We did get really close with that second shadow, it just takes all 6 people to have a near perfect run which is quite hard to do. Still trying to figure out how we managed to do so much dps to Oryx on that run we went straight through to the shadow but from then on were only hitting about 25% of him each go :confused:

I will get this raid cracked at some point, think mctrials is in the same boat as me - not got past the sisters (not sure about you silas). Once I one raid done and get ToM and hopefully a couple of 302+ drops then it should be straight forward, also changed my jump to control which is much better for height and distance.

I'm exactly the same as you, only done up to the sisters, 2 weeks ago I had never done a single raid, not even done VoG or CE. For me jumping has been an issue, my first attempt 2 weeks ago was spread over 3 nights at at least2 hours each go and still could't get past sisters.

I know I can do it, just need practise and I have to say, everyone from here I have played with has been incredibly patient and helpful trying to get me and my brother through it. My biggest downside is I work shifts on a 3 week pattern so only have evenings free once every 3 weeks and then my wife wants to spend time with me :rolleyes::o

Lol. You'll get there in time, took our team about 4 weeks to work through the raid on normal as everyone has strenghts and weaknesses in different areas like the jumping etc. Its a great feeling once you complete it though.

Were looking at starting hard mode this friday

Yeah good run...oryx went down easy enough once we were all on the same page.

Sorry we couldn't finish the second run, it was gone midnight and I was having some mega brainfade (and I was 309). When we nearly did it but didn't manage to stagger oryx....someone might have forgotten to switch back to malice after shade :rolleyes: :cool:

Still, 319 fusion, 318 gloves has got me to 314. Stil no helm or harrowed boots :'(
 
Well, I had a strange night lastnight. got a really good LFG team and absolutely blazed through all sections of hard mode up until Oryx. I mean, seriously quick. Then after just one wipe at Oryx everyone started arguing and left, very strange as the group was working well until then.

However, my real frustration began when looking for another group at Oryx on LFG. I've never completed hard Oryx and thought it was only fair to mention it in my LFG post, asking for just a little time to explain the strat once I was invited. 5 groups I joined, on each and every one I joined the chat and emphasised I was new to Oryx hard. Each group had a typical abrasive American dude "just wanting a quick run". I bowed out of the chat gracefully each time and wished them luck. By the 5th party invite however, same again, at that point.... I flipped my lid and told them to read the god damn LFG post properly next time and stop wasting my time :mad::p I almost deleted Destiny at that point, especially given the poor rewards of the night from hard mode.

Never use LFG these days...had a bad run of squeakers munching crisps and cokehead americans shooting their mouths off....does my head in.

Seriously...use the100.io. Hardly ever get A-holes like on LFG as the karma system filters them out...lots more raid groups happily taking raid newbies through as well.
 
OK....here's something I didn't know...and it happened to me last night

"Closing the Destiny application, logging out, switching characters, getting disconnected due to networking issues, or powering off your console without first returning to Orbit will cause all items remaining on the ground to be permanently lost."

I had at least one exotic drop from the shade on that second run...but I just powered off and went to sleep. Balls.
 
Yep had one guy from lfg join up in my weekly nf strike and he mentioned that he hadn't had his usual snort lol.

Couldn't stop laughing, don't know how we managed to get the nf strike done as he was pretty useless and was a light level of 290. Probably because me and the other guy carried him.

Didn't get much from the nf other than 5 strange coins and 5 motes of light and another damned don't touch me gauntlets as I popped a 3 of coins lol. Ended up using it to infuse my legendary vendor gauntlets.

Hate lfg, 100.io is so much better.

Agreed, thanks for the run guys :) The second was always going to be a little bonus if we got it, later in the week maybe?

I have 2 spaces for a chilled NM run tonight on PS4. Let me know if anyone wants in?
