Not sure how much quicker the number calling would be to be honest. I can imagine one person forgetting to shout their number and the rest waiting, or if people shout over each other and you have to ask them to repeat :p. Probably less of a fuss to just have a quick peek.

We usually send 3 left and 3 right, it gives you different angles on the supplicants so you can clear them out quicker if they're hidden behind the portals. As well as being able to get the portals up quickly.
 
The strategies for the bosses in VoG are, in the grand scheme of things, ridiculously easy. I guess it's only because everything else in the game is purely 'see enemy, shoot enemy' where there is something almost resembling a thought process required.

Anyone on XBO want to do a normal raid at some point this week? I also have the Nightfall and weekly heroics to do this week if anyone is around after half 4 today?

I am home around half 5, if I'm on Destiny, give me a shout (Dr Pharmacology)

Might be busy though as missus wants us to catch up on TV shows tonight.

My Hunter have; Atheon to complete on Normal and Nightfall.
My Warlock has; Weekly Heroic to do (doing Hard Raid tomorrow if that's still on)

Probably no different to people shouting a number over each other and not hearing it clearly...

Can you take me off the list for Friday? My brother can't either as he has plans for Halloween. Do you guys ever raid during the week? Friday and Saturday are 50/50 for me at best, Sundays are more likely. From Monday to Thursday though it's not much of a problem.

Can do the Nightfall with your Hunter and Weekly Heroic with your Wlock? That's if you're not busy watching X Factor of course... ;)
