*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

I'm gonna run a normal then hard mode run on Wednesday I think - just need to get confirmation from a few people tonight before I know how many spaces are spare.

OK who fancies a double normal raid run tomorrow? Just cba with Hard when theres little I need other than the raid fusion - prefer to have people that have characters over level 27 with decent weapons.

Say 7.30

1) ps3ud0 - polynomial007 (30 Titan/30 Hunter)
2) Soulja - Soulja85 (30 Warlock/30 Warlock)
3) wattsy - chewie9967 (29 Hunter/27 Warlock)
4) Greboth - Greeboth (29 Warlock/29 Warlock)
5) oneilldo - Facebaker (29 Hunter/27 Warlock)
6) AStaley - AStaley (28 Titan)

Reserves

Could do a third run at the end dependent on time and if people are interested

How much of Hard mode can you do without 30s? Is it just Atheon that's really tough without mostly 30s?

Confluxes and Atheon (perhaps even the bit right after the Gatekeeper too) are the hard part - theres a chance you just will get through the door and be stuck for a while...

Remember if you arent level 30 you are technically underlevelled so do/take damage as such...

Yeah dude more than welcome - we'll make sure half the people use their mains while others are on alts and vice versa to spread the pain - should make the runs chlds play really...

I have two Warlocks but they share armour so will have to fart around in the tower between raids but both will (obviously) be level 29. I run sunslinger for the raid but unfortunately don't have self revive on my second yet, thought will blast through as many bounties as I can tonight to see if I can unlock it.

Happy to start as soon as everyones around - I know we have a raid virgin so like to take a bit of time explaining the bits to them. Looking forward to tonight, wasnt in a great mood for Destiny yesterday but it was refresh!

I died the most times in one day yesterday than every nightfall day before - just didnt care for some reason :p. Felt bad after the event but not like they are that hard just takes time usually...

Enjoyed the double normal run last night, considering each time we ran it with someone who hasn't done it before it went well. I continued my run of dying multiple times trying to get the spire up and then having an almost flawless raid. It was a new one on me though dying at the templar and spawning up the top. Well played to hold it down with only 5 players.

2 more raids though and all I got was a shotgun and class item :( by the time next week comes around I will have a fully upgraded exotic chest so will just need boots. Seems RNG really doesn't want to drop armour for me :(

Excellent someone got something they wanted - seems to happen so rarely nowadays. I lucked into some Titan gloves which I was after to complete the raid set :)

Any recommendations how to tackle Atheon efffectively on hard? Just always seem to get stuck there and tbh I don't know why as most bugs can be anticipated - just seems a single mistake topples the whole attempt at times...
