Be nice if they fixed the sensitivity scaling when going into ADS - I've pretty much stopped playing before I completed it over that alone.

Can't seem to get this to play properly in 5770 X 1080 in Eyefinity. Just has massive black bars on either side of the screens. Tried it in various Full/Exclusive screen modes, no difference. It seems there was an option to select Eyefinity in the resolution but that is gone now.
Any tips on this one?

I really enjoyed my time with it but it was too short of a time. Also the pacing of the story is way off. I saw beforehand that it ends rather abruptly but I still didn't think it would be abrupt as it was. I couldn't believe when it came up with 'New game plus unlocked'.

So I finally started playing this.

Took me 3 hours just to get through the intro Dubai level.

Damn I am slow. This game will take me ages.

I sure hope its vision of 2029 Prague will have exactly zero to do with the real thing though. Right now we are wonderfully terrorist-attack free, and here the first thing that greets me in Prague is an explosion in civilian main train station. Jeeez.

Second playthrough is even better with all the augs and options. Just did the GARM facility a few different ways, great fun. And so much I must have missed out on first time around. Huge amount of breadth and options here.

Looked more like the end of a 'First Chapter', expecting a second, then a final third with a conclusion. Game is at least about 1/2 the length it should be. :(

We have just released another PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v1.11 build 616.0_P11. This patch focusses on new Breach content and features, fixes for critical issues raised by the community, and several improvements for DirectX 12.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.

The following changes are in this patch:

New Breach content.
Breach UI improvements.
Addition of new Breach related achievements.
Prevent drawing a gun when exiting PC or terminal.
Fixed an issue where there was no prompt to exit the telescope that can be found in Prague.
Fixed an issue for black artifacts when SSR, MSAA 2x and Stereoscopic 3D are enabled.
Improved overall performance for DirectX 11 and 12.
DirectX 12: Fixed an issue where for some systems cinematics would be rendered as black.
DirectX 12: Fixed an issue where you would see rain splatters on Jensen while in-doors.
Various MSAA bug fixes.

Yay new breach content. That great mode that everybody plays!

Haha :)

What a waste of time that mode is. Wish they just concentrated on making the main story longer/better.

Square Enix lost a lot of respect from me with how they handled this game.

I'm wondering if the new dishonoured will be as good as this? Tempted to preorder it.

I get the feeling it may be better. Hopefully anyway.

Wish they'd put more time into basic accessibility/controls still far from ideal mouse input wise if you try to play it as a shooter and the mechanics/UI are so sprawling I find I get put off by them before I've played for more than 10-15 minutes.

I personally did not have an issue with any of that. Just reduced mouse sensitivity slider and I was good to go.

What annoyed me was a short main story that was frankly not very good relative to other Deus Ex games, followed by the publisher messing about with silly things like breach mode etc.

It's easily long enough if you explore it all. If you just sprint from one objective marker (which you can turn off, among many other helpful options, unlike most games where the visuals and immersion are ruined by massive 'FOLLOW' signs that treat players like idiots) it would be much shorter, but you'd be missing out on so much immersion in an impressive gameworld. It's not call of duty, it is a different type of game. Massive amount of breadth and depth in this game if you explore a bit - ok a lot and you'll still miss plenty, but I kind of like that for replayability. My second playthrough fully-auged-up is actually more fun than the first (which was awesome).

Amazes me that people always complain about games being too 'linear', then they get one that has an unbelievable amount of opportunities, different routes, completely different ways to do almost every objective in a gameworld where virtually nobody would find everything without guides and videos and yet they complain it's too short by playing it in a linear way anyway!

I can see why devs make games linear, why waste so much time and money on range and freedom when people won't use it? They won't even know it was there after they "beat" the game in 15 hours.

This post seems to be a reply to mine, so I will respond.

I never said the game was not long enough. I spent around 40-50 hours on my first playthough as I recall, most of it doing exactly what you said, exploring and I loved that part of the game. What I said was, the main story was not long or good enough.

Getting the story quality right is very important for a Deus Ex game in my opinion and they did a decent job, but I was expecting something much better. For me Mankind Divided's story is easily the worst of all DE games and yes I am including Invisible War ;)
