**DGM 27" LED IPS 2560x1440 ONLY £319.99 Inc. VAT (PRE-ORDER PRICE ONLY)!!**

+1, kind of

a single 680 can hold 60 FPS on ultra @1080

a single 670/680/7970 does suffer dips at 1440p though, with no AA it's fine, but I was dissapointed with the IQ of no AA so bought a 2nd 670 to go with my DGM 1440

Would it be a better option of going with a 4gb (670) card rather than a 2gb (670) or 3gb (Ati) card for 1440 res? Or go for a cheaper 2gb / 3gb and get another for sli later?

I don't think you need that much memory for just 1 screen even if it is 1440p.
Massive amounts of GDDR is usually for running eyefinity or nvidia surround.

It's always best to go for a single card setup as some games don't scale well with SLI.

I'd vote for the 2GB 670.

I haven't had a chance to thoroughly inspect and compare yet but I haven't spotted any dead pixels or backlight bleed issues yet. I have to set it to burn my retinas to avoid reflections though and the horizontal viewing angles seem to be worse than the mva panel on my viewsonic vw2025wm - the dgm seems to lose contrast and glow when viewing from more than about 50-60 degrees to the side. Still, can' really complain considering the viewsonic only cost 50 quid less 5 or 6 years back.

Thanks Andrew, Vimes. Will see if there's any change or it becomes less bothersome over the next few days. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't visible during normal use but my eyes are now drawn to it on any page with a white background.

I make it less than £26-27 unless you are grossly over-paying for your leccy
I don't have a maths degree, so the exact understanding of an electricity bill is beyond me. :-) However I have a rough idea that it's about 8p a minute off peak (11ish to 8ish) and then the first <insert random number> of daytime units are about 25p. After you use those it goes down, but I'm on my own and try to be pretty careful with my power use, so most of my peak use is in the 25p area.

My bill's about £550 a year, so the extra monitor power isn't insignificant. But I'm resigned to that now as a fair swap for the great screen. I am less resigned to the heat it and the brick chuck out. Roll on winter, then I'll be glad of the warmth. :-)

my eyes are now drawn to it on any page with a white background.

That's unfortunate, and it seems unlikely you'll learn to ignore it. I do quite a lot of writing, and an obvious white variation would definitely get to me. I haven't quite got used to having a screen which can hold three pages side by side yet though. :->

One for the hardware X-files. Using DVI I got no BIOS boot messages. Using DVI and VGA (via DVI adapter) together I got no BIOS boot messages. After removing the VGA lead I now get BIOS boot messages.

Something obviously changed, but I haven't a clue what! :-)

Got one of these for my brother last weekend, it has two stuck white pixels - is there any way to fix them or are with stuck with them? Presumably this is better than a dead (black) pixel in terms of being able to correct it?

What is OCUK's pixel returns policy (not DSR)?

Arrived today and loving it, but have a strange problem:

Monitor is blank during post and only "activates" once windows loads.

My guess is the monitor doesn't 640x400 used during post or bios?

Is there anyway of working around this?
Not being able to see bios (or safe mode presumably) is a little bit of an issue..

Use display port ;)

Not sure my gtx560 has displayport output - just 2xDL-DVI and a HDMI.

I have a dvi-vga adapter somewhere so will try both plugged in and see how it goes - reading back through this thread seems to have worked for some people (i think)

In thinking of getting a 27" WQHD monitor for gaming. What this monitor's input lag and response like in terms of FPS gaming? Good/ok/bearable/bad?
Also, is it worth taking the risk over splashing out on a U2711 instead?

Post 2k! :D
