**DGM 27" LED IPS 2560x1440 ONLY £319.99 Inc. VAT (PRE-ORDER PRICE ONLY)!!**

Arrived today and loving it, but have a strange problem:

Monitor is blank during post and only "activates" once windows loads.

My guess is the monitor doesn't 640x400 used during post or bios?

Is there anyway of working around this?
Not being able to see bios (or safe mode presumably) is a little bit of an issue..

I have the same problem on MSI and Gigabyte Z68 boards (6970 and 580)

over DVI

Use display port ;)

Ive ordered a DP to DVI connector - i hope it works :)

hi for some reason the 4 pin power connection into the monitor is loose and only had the monitor up and running for a week do i ask oc for a replacement power pack or do i buy one

anyone got an idea where i get one from

You'll be able to get OCUK to sort it. Raise an RMA ticket & they'll tell you what you need to do.

You might need to return the whole lot to them, but they should reimburse you for any costs for returning it.

cheers the actual silver 4 pin bit has actually came off the end of the connector when i unplugged it

Just talk to Overclockers and get them to exchange the whole power brick.

A different company that I have just dealt with give me a new I/O shield, as it was missing from the box of my new UD5H - I had already built it up but their customer services were closed over the weekend.
So I would like to believe that OC would not want the whole package back when the fault is with the powerbrick.

If you did want a repair them maybe Maplin or ebay could be s start for you to look...?

I would suggest talking to DGM but in my past experience of dealing with them they are pretty bad with communication.

Is the end tip not repairable - amazing what you can repair with sticky tape, solder or glue.!

Ive contacted OC so hopefully they can help with this I have also emailed DGM but im sure OC can sort it

Must say this is a really good monitor apart from the power connector,

I'm not sure about a repair, but I do know that if I made any suggestions it would most certainly compromise you having OC exchange it.
To me that would be an out of warranty type repair, which I would attempt, as contacting OC would be my first choice.
Put them a note with the above photo attached in here....

...but please keep us posted as to their response.

In the meantime have a look at Maplin / ebay - but for me that would be an out of warranty repair considering how new your screen is and the three years warranty that OC offer.

EDIT: Just noted you have contacted OC whilst I was typing this - that is the first choice that I would make.

Do you think OC will help with this? As i dont mind paying for another power adapter

Done a search for a 4 pin 24v 6a adapter not that common

Whilst I can't second guess what they will or will not do if you put the photo (the first one you used was better imo) within that section I noted with a note asking them if you can just RMA the powerbrick it does seem reasonable as they would only need to put the broken one within the box they have removed the new one from. No loss for them and a big help and savings for you. Plus if you have a good monitor you do not want the risk of ending up with something not as good by returning it unnecessarily.

Just keep us informed - I'm sure that they will accommodate you.

Searching for one of those is a bit of a long shot and looking at it I would repair it anyway if there was no warranty, but it could be a "noticeable" repair.

Not sure why you would wish to pay for something that is covered under a warranty without exploring that option first.

You don't have to tell me about that as I'm the guy who has ended up with a spare Z77 Gigabyte board due to my impatience. :D
Just hang in there and give them a chance to sort it out for you.

hi Vimes,
GOOD NEWS

OC have asked me to return just the power block which is good and will refund the postage cost :) Im just waiting on confirmation if they can send me out a replacement
