** Diablo 4 Thread **

So are we expecting the new class Paladin (fighter etc.) at season one or for the first big expansion drop?

Would expect they'd save a new class for the expansion in a few years time as a Paladin will be a huge seller.

Season 1 seems far too early to introduce a new class unless a Paladin or something had always been planned for release but wasn't finished.

there's some vids on datamining the game and finding stuff around world tier 5, seasonal storage etc. Hopefully they add some more aspirational endgame content

I'm level 50 now and working my way through Act 5 still, side-quests keep distracting me. I am feeling that something is a little off with this game. The map is huge but feels a bit like it's just full of nothing. I just use my horse (before that just dodged all the time) to spring past all the mobs to get to a quest waypoint, do what I need to do there and then rinse repeat. The side-quests and dungeons are pretty repetitive too, in fact so are most of the mobs. It's not too hard either regardless of the creep scaling (not a fan of this mechanic), I'm on WT2 playing as an Ice Sorcerer. The loot I'm getting is awful, some things I haven't upgraded in ages, the whispering chests rarely even drop armour / weapons for me, not sure why anyone would waste money on keys when the items you can buy directly seem to have a decent chance of being a legendary.

My memory of Diablo 3 is a little hazy but I don't ever recall thinking the same things about that. I'll keep playing for now as I am mostly enjoying it but not sure for how long or if I'll even bother with an alt. The fact you can only have 2 on local co-op means I won't getting any extra play time by playing with my 2 boys either.

I see that have nerfed the dungeon I was using to try and get better loot in order to feel like some kind of progress was happening. There is a reason it became so popular, but instead of turning that bad dungeons into good dungeons, they have turned the good dungeon into a bad one. Good job Blizzard....

Fwiw you should get boosts to loot finds when you go to WT3, WT2 does cap out at a certain point.

I think I hate this Elias boss, I get him down to the last slither then get destroyed, I'm 63 but recently switched to a bone spear build so my gear is kind of crappy still, hence why I want to move to T4 and actually upgrade some stuff.

One thing I'm disappointed at is the world bosses. In the Beta, you could beat Arshava if you had a good bunch of people on WT2 but I had to do it on WT1. Now the world bosses are a bloody joke and can be killed in a few mins, I saw a video of one boss killed in a few seconds, I mean like WTF is that about. You do get decent loot but still the excitement of a world boss is killed when you defeat them so easily. Hope this is fixed.

Think I need to start crafting some higher tier sigils. I'm doing tier 25 easily but the loot is appalling. Usually get the 1 legendary you get as a reward and everything else is blues/rares.

Hopefully you get a higher chance of drops the higher you go. Need something to make the grind worthwhile while I level my glyphs.

Oh fantastic. What are they thinking? The nm dungeons are not exactly gripping content as it is, at least throw us a bone for upping the difficulty Blizz.

As MadMossy says, the loot doesn't get better in higher tiers. I'm finding the best loot/xp gains are in the PvP zones and during Helltide events. I still do nightmare dungeons but the main motivation there is to level up my glyphs. It might just be my imagination but I think Blizz may have reduced the loot rates in dungeons - I haven't seen some legendaries/aspects in like 50 levels ...

I blasted it for a week and now haven't been back for a week, the more I think about the game being away from it, the more my opinion of it drops.

Hopefully the seasons bring interesting content, but the scaling will just put me right off as it stands.
