Diane Abbott suspended as Labour MP after racism letter

Does the same not go for other political parties?
I was just going to check, it only came to my attention with the Tories because they've had a few of them recently.

Edit: Just checked Labour International, you have to be a UK citizen (not sure if they can vote on anything but being a citizen, well, that's fine anyway)

Edit: Edit: It sounds like the LibDem one is also for UK Citizens from a brief scan.

when it comes to damaging the environment now I am not sure that is true.

Paging @Tony Edwards check out the racism in that post

Why, after so many years of **** right wing government, do you want the country to go down an even more extreme path? Do you have a hard on for dictatorships? A poster of Bolsonaro or Orban on your bedroom wall perhaps?
Exactly, what we need is a decade of left wing politics so inflation can hit 50% and we can all be equally poor, its the only way to ensure equality!

With the way some are on the left I'm not sure if you're joking or not? Presumable not as you've not put any suitable emoji.

He does call himself Lord-Jaffa, the left tend to distance themselves from nobility. Until offered a peerage of course... So God knows where he stands politically :)

You don't see any issues with letting anyone who wants to join, around the World, having a say in who is elected as leader/Prime Minister?

Are the other parties verifying that someone is actually a UK citizen before they accept their membership? Or is that just a rule? Do I need to show a passport or ID before becoming a Labour member?

The fact he wants to drive the economy into the floor and have everyone working on NMW is the concerning thing with these people! Where do they think the money is going to come from for all their vanity projects and building 100'000's of free homes?

I am genuinely curious @thenewoc ,as one who has 'Buy the best, buy British' in your sig, what is your take on non-UK citizens helping decide the leader of the Conservative Party and, ergo, the leader of the UK Government.

It seems to be the only Party that allows this.

The general public don't decide Labour's either when their leader doesn't last the full term between GE's.

If it wasn't done in the way that it was then people might think twice about ousting a PM so that wouldn't be right either. Not that I agree with how that VoNC was dealt with.
