fyai UK anti-semitism definition

First, the Government rejected calls from the Home Affairs Committee to insert two “clarifications” to the IHRA definition and examples:

  • It is not anti-Semitic to criticise the Government of Israel, without additional evidence to suggest anti-Semitic intent.
  • It is not anti-Semitic to hold the Israeli Government to the same standards as other liberal democracies, or to take a particular interest in the Israeli Government’s policies or actions, without additional evidence to suggest anti-Semitic intent.
The UK Government said it believed that an existing caveat, that “criticism of Israel similar to that levelled against any other country cannot be regarded as anti-Semitic”, was “sufficient to ensure freedom of speech”.

Reform never put the legislation into place to have an open borders immigration system. They're campaigning to put things right which of course is a coincidence to the past because the public have been fooled into thinking more of the same won't affect them as somehow the money tree will giveth.

The Reform party is nothing like the BNP, it's actually quite diverse with candidates from LGBT etc.

I was going to say where do I put my cross, but now you've blown it for them.... :)

(founder of human rights ... and, our definition of anti-semitism)

Keir, Diane, Momentum - classic 3-way good bad ugly standoff - if Keir(man who never was?) fires Diane, momentum get him, hopefully Raynor is collateral damage too,
and we can get someone decent .....all is forgiven David.

It's not just Keir, the entire leadership of Labour is a clique and a lost cause. They are all neoliberals, and they hate the left of the party with a burning hatred.

Labour is a lost cause. Need something else to take its place.

They're simply not. They're globalists and aligned to the WEF way of thinking which is socialist.
Nothing I've ever read about the WEF suggests they're socialists. They are the very definition of the elite, the billionaires, the bankers, the wannabe Illimunati. Is that what socialism looks like to you?

You missed out non elected by the UK electorate!

Neither was Truss.

Yes she was. She was elected to be an MP by her constituents - UK members of the public with the right to vote - and she was elected to be PM by the conservative party membership - also UK members of the public with the right to vote. (For clarity: Truss was an unmitigated disaster and I didn't vote for her)

When are the UK members of the public given the vote for WEF leadership?

She was voted to be PM by 81,326 of the 45 million registered voters.

Which is less than 0.2% of the voting population.
Like it or not that's the system we have. We vote in a Party and the leader is PM.

We don't vote in Presidents. The same argument was used by the Tories when Brown was made PM.

Edit: The musical chairs of PMs the Tory government have gone through does question the suitability of our system.

The Tories are so right wing they got Brexit done.. oh wait, they didn't. They have an 80 majority yet nothing radical as happened. It was all tough talk with no action.

What is happening with the Tories now is what happened under new Labour with Blair. The average person is pushed out whilst the established approved people lead the pack.

Labour as come through the other side of it for the most part, though some might say Starmer is their next attempt at controlling the rebels now Labour is on course to win the next GE.

She is an idiot, normally we'd all have a laugh at her on the internet (ok we do anyway). But the position she is in makes her a dangerous idiot.

We don't vote for a PM, please stop it's embarrassing.
It is interesting though, when the Tories do vote for a leader non-UK citizens and those ineligible to vote in UK elections can vote as to who will lead the Party and the country if they've joined Conservatives Abroad.

Does the same not go for other political parties?
