My father is a good example in this case tbh. At my age he was doing every odd job there was at the time including train driver and down the mines lol. Early 30s he did a degree in biology part time and started as a mortuary technician, nearly 20 years later hes the manager of all the mortuaries in the area and the chairman of the NHS register. He also came out with I think 2/3 O levels and sod all else. Experience and personal ambition are EVERYTHING in getting where you want to be.
I myself hated college due to the poor teaching there. It was basically memorise 500 facts and understand none of it. I didnt think that was right so left after doing my AS levels and have bounced from job to job, quite like my father. You'll only be a failure if YOU set yourself something to accomplish which you really feel you can and dont do it.

A tad effort but if it helps me succeed in life then definately worth it.
