yes, I know, we previously established that you don't read papers. You would fall into the ignorant and unpleasnt based on misconceptions category outlined in my post!

This is simply a case of a set sequence of events, i.e. the meal and tip, given entirely different interprations by two sets of viewers, i.e. you and the woman. She was doing her job, you thought a generous tip would increase your chances of a shag. Happens all the time.

Ok so, you say you don't like 'her face', yet you're now pursuing her with some serious stalker-like effort? Men.
It seems to me like she was being a nice person and doing good at her job by conversing with you and being pleasant after the meal (i'd take a guess and say that she was overly nice and chatty because you gave her a generous tip).

I'm thinking that unless she made any apparant passes at you, like suggesting to do anything with you without you initiating it, she would surely be interested. But it just sounds as though she's picked up an admirer and she's just going along with it for the sake of the attention.

My advice would be to just text her something casual, asking her out for a drink.
However, seeing as though you've basically already done this and she said she was going to be busy for 2 weeks.. it doesn't seem like she's into the idea, and that she is just generally enjoying the attention, but has no intention of taking it any further.

I think to continue pursuing her would be foolish.

So you just hate them for taking up space in the same way that people on estates having loads of kids do, or wealthy people with large gardens do?

I voted "send em back" on the recent fat people referendum for exactly the same reasons - taking up too much space, and I don't want to start developing the countryside to accommodate someones 42 inch waist.
 
Prime example of man not being able to read woman.

Clearly she was being polite and friendly - waiters are supposed to be hospitable. Doesn't necessarily mean she wants friendship or a relationship etc.

Brush it off and move on. You said you weren't originally impressed with her to begin with, so why make a big thread and deal about it?

And what do you mean by "ditch"? You had nothing to begin with..
