similar happened to me in a chinese resturant, at the end of the meal i asked for her mobile number. when i tried to call to set up a date it was all "I'm busy this, i'm busy that". That's fine, but it did annoy me that she gave me her number when she had no intention of going out with me. She could have said no and i would have been fine with that

Did anyone see that program a few years back helping to give women advice in potentially threatening situations?

Like, woman is at the bar, and some guy starts coming on to her... not a sexy adonis with shades, but one of the weirdos on here asking how to use a fork. The ones who start making uncomfortable comments. They basically showed with volunteers that even if some guy has just said "I'd give you a right good one cos you're dirty, i can tell", lots of women will actually smile, even if they're scared and want to run. Avoiding conflict, panic, whatever.

Basically I think you can transpose this to a lot of number-giving situations. As well as that, she might just be thinking it would be harsh to just say no, and gentler if she gives it to you and doesn't go anywhere with it.
 
I predict this scenario will repeat itself the next time cheekykid goes to casualty with a cut finger, because as we all know, a hot woman in a nurses outfit attentively applying a life saving plaster is the biggest come on of all, and you wouldn't even need to leave a tip.

It seems to me like she was being a nice person and doing good at her job by conversing with you and being pleasant after the meal (i'd take a guess and say that she was overly nice and chatty because you gave her a generous tip).

I'm thinking that unless she made any apparant passes at you, like suggesting to do anything with you without you initiating it, she would surely be interested. But it just sounds as though she's picked up an admirer and she's just going along with it for the sake of the attention.

My advice would be to just text her something casual, asking her out for a drink.
However, seeing as though you've basically already done this and she said she was going to be busy for 2 weeks.. it doesn't seem like she's into the idea, and that she is just generally enjoying the attention, but has no intention of taking it any further.

I think to continue pursuing her would be foolish.

When she said to me that she needs 2 weeks I could tell that I won't talk to her again and I didn't. I should reiterate that she said that she would call me so basically the door is open but she doesn't wanna come in. In addition I never made apparent that I "want her" for girlfriend.

She was kind and very attending prior to my giving her a tip. Looking at me often and smiling etc. I had no intention to chat to her or do "anything" intimate. She initiated a kinda longish conversation about her and I contributed my sentiments here and there. She was obviously into me as a friend at least. She even showed to me a number another guy left for her and she said that she doesn't like that and that she would have prefered if he had the balls to ask her directly.

If she liked me why not go out with someone you like and maybe become friends? Going out doesn't always have to mean that you need to get laid. A little too far, and far, far too weird - Gilly.
TBH her image has helped me to structure my frequent fantasies in a more constructive way so credit there.

As I said she did have a rather tight bum and maybe even more but I can't attest to that she i didn't have a chance to see her naked. How could I have come to that anyway? we were in a restaurant not in the bathroom.

The plan now is:

Am going back to the same restaurant with a friend of mine in a months time. Why? For entertainments shake:D. I just wanna see what "will happen" when she sees me. After all she knows that she ditched me like a hot potato which is fine i guess. It happens to the best of us.

I shall want to entertain you by providing video proof of the upcoming interaction however I can't afford to buy the afformentioned glasses. If you donate I promise to record the funny event and see if I can bring up something entertaining.

She probably won't even remember you, or there'll be a vague recollection. If she's in any way good looking she'll have guys hitting on her all the time. It's in the nature of the job.
 
You paid her to be polite to you. Pay her again in greater amounts for extra service.
 
If you worked in restaurants you'd know the staff are stipidly nice to people to get bountiful tips.................

Compensated how? You were lucky to not be suspended. This is a family forum. Consider it your compensation that you still have the ability to post.
