Did she ditch me for good?

See my geek and raise me a tool, thanks for that.

I got that you were joking, just pointing out the line didn't work. Although I quoted you, my comment, seeing as it was pluralised, was directed at all the comments refering to the fact the chick was Polish, which didn't seem that relevant. Poles are getting a hard time for very little reason at the moment.

I wasn't calling you a geek as such, more refering to the collective and yes I include myself in that. You must be a bit of a geek otherwise you wouldn't be here. Don't think you needed to get your knickers in quite such a twist about this. BFF?:p
First lesson...

Because you miss humour does not mean it's not present. Trying to elevate yourself or present yourself as the ‘the definer of humour’ or as being 'above that' is somewhat pious if I may be so bold. Different strokes for different folks...

Second lesson....

When making a general point it may be better not to quote a specific instance as the person whom you quote may seek to clarify your understanding or interpretation if they feel it as wrong. By quoting me you were inferring I sat within the 'pluralised group' hence my response, your view of others who you may also see as being a member of said group is for them to deal with.

Fact 1

I don't wear knickers or twist my good ladies.

Fact 2

I have no idea what BFF means

AOB

I have several Polish friends and my mate Dino (and abbreviation of his Polish surname) smirked at my comment when I canvassed his opinion. He appreciated that it was humorous (not one of my best to quote him verbatim) and if dissected could be seen as flawed but then like me he is no geek and was happy to see it for what it was. A cheap yet slightly humours jibe perhaps playing on the perception of a stereotype personified by many peoples tabloid view of our world. If I walk into a Police station it makes me neither a policeman nor criminal as contributing to a forum does not make me a geek either, even if said forum may be frequented by many fitting the definition...

I felt being a pedant was an appropriate way of dealing with this one even though I would normally simply ignore it, I was bored. My work is done here; I have a book on SQL to read.

PS. I don't actually have a book on SQL to read, I was using inferred irony and yes I am being patronising in some of my points above, I sensed you might like that. :p

If your work is coming accross as pedantic and sensitive, then I would agree, it is done.

Yes, it was misleading to quote you since my comment was more generalised and for this I apologise unreservedly.

I'm not sure it merited this lesson in essay form from you. (Are you an actual housemaster? if so that explains a lot.)

Don't you think you're being a little over the top? You made a throw away joke days ago and I made a throw away comment back. You then decided to escalate it for some reason by calling me a tool and now responding with all this drivel.

BFF is "best friends forever". Can we be? Please?

well see some people do not like polish there is no point being racist about it and etc they in eu and they are legally working in uk.

and the guy just get over it she did not call. i was thinking u were dating but u were not so for get it get along with your life

Oh the irony and to use a childish line, "you started it". You will see if you care you look at my history I hardly ever post in this section of the forum or respond to baiting from geeks, I was bored as I said...

Accepted...my lesson was taken on board, splendid.

Oh I think the lesson was merited, above confirms this. Housemaster is nothing to do with school, though this is an understandable and common summation. It's a nickname from at least 25 years back and relates to house music, a nickname that has stuck. ;)

Nope, you insuated something that was wrong and I clarified that. You started with the name calling and astonishingly I lowered myself to your level, the only mistake I made..........well along with acknowledging your existence.

BFF is "best friends forever". Can we be? Please?
Sure, but I don't wear knickers or like men if you have an ulterior motive and if I arouse you then sorry, you misread me.....again. ;)

Look, enough is enough. That comment about acknowledging my existence is pretty uncalled for. I think we have established that you have taken against me, so be it. I'm not here to make enemies and it's too easy to read inflection that is not there with text, as you are doing repeatedly. I think we established some time ago that the ignorant geek comment, harmless as it was, was not aimed specifically at you, but at everybody who was flaiming the poles (unfortunately a fairly common theme here.) I'm at a bit of loss as to why you have mustered this level of hatred towards me.

Good god man I don't hate you. I have never hated anyone on a web forum and though I may think many are idiots of the highest order (for they are) with little or nothing in common with me I don't hate them. Time to move on but don't for a moment think I hate you and if this is a chat up line to put my guard down I am still not wearing knickers!;)

I get that you don't literally hate me, but you were being pretty hateful!Anyway I want the last word so .......................... :)

....uncalled for self elevating pompous crap...

Good god man, skidder told you in his reply that his post was'nt directed at you personly and you went on to spew out all that obnoxious* crap.

I take satisfaction by knowing I got up your nose. I won't dignify you with anything more than that, I've moved on and I am no longer bored, your slot is gone.

I take satisfaction by knowing I got up your nose.....

Sadly that says allot about your persona, personally I don't make posts with the sole purpose of self gratification by 'getting up peoples noses', I'm not looking for a 'slot' as you so put it, or a reaction on your behalf, I just saw that you was wrongly using skidder as a platform for trying to elevate your self-worth by putting him down, that's wrong, Skidder was very amicable in his reply here and that was even after you insulted him, think about it.
